Chris Pine appreciation thread

I'm trying to find a decent picture of him in it. I dont have personal knowledge (oh but i wish i did), but i would bet my 2nd born child (parents of young teenagers you know what i mean) that it is a wig. The hairline looks phony, but most of all, it just sits on his head and doesnt have the hair that would come from the lower part of his scalp. If i find a pic (so far all the ones i have found are too small) i'll post it.

Of course, if i am wrong then you can have my daughter...keep her 'til she's 20. She should resemble human by then.

I made a DVD of the movie off TiVo the other day, and I was thinking about making some screen caps of it. Don't know when I will get around to that, though; it's a lot of eye work.

Ok, i found a picture, although it isnt the clearest of photos, you can sort of see how the wig just sits at the top of his head. There is just the one layer of hair, no hair coming from around the ears, the nape of the neck etc.

*sigh* this should be the worst thing in the world, right?

Hey, this just ended on Showtime Too East a couple of minutes ago! I was flipping around looking for something to watch and caught the last 10 minutes or so of it. It'll be on Showtime Too West at 8:55 eastern time, it looks like.

The wig looks horrendously fake in action, too, but the face underneath it is terrifically cute. :)

I was looking to see if I could find any early B&W Robert Wagner photos to see if they look like Chris. Don't know if he really looks like him, but this is a nice one:

Wish this were bigger.

Here's a Paul Newman one. Does he look like Chris?

Robert Wagner's a closer fit, going by looks alone (in the third pic, especially) but I think there's something reminiscent of Paul Newman more in the way Pine carries himself than in appearance. The shot of Pine with the pool cue seems to fit somewhere between a young Newman and James Dean.

Yeah, I think the Newman underwear shot looks like how Chris carries himself. The first Robert Wagner pic looks like Bruce Greenwood to me.

^ It does, kind of. (When was that taken, anyway? It's got to be around mid-1950s, just looking at his face.)

I thought of Robert Wagner because of the Pink Panther - I'm pretty sure Robert wore a few sweaters in that movie.

Yeah...not sure. I just pulled those off google images.

Sweaters -- there were an awful lot of good sweaters in the mid-1960's. I think it's because there was a lot of influence on fashion from London. Europeans are pretty big on woolens.

The incredible, gigantic music scene brought a lot of the arts with it from England. Everybody I knew in the mid 1960's (like 1964-67) followed Carnaby Street fashion -- hair and clothing.

Even home decoration. There were a lot of good TV and movies, which brought all of those, too.
