Chris Pine & Olivia Munn Couple Up

Star Trek star Chris Pine grabs a late night dinner with the host of G4’s Attack of the Show!, Olivia Munn, in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (December 8).

Chris and Olivia (both 29) have been romantically linked for about a month.

Earlier in the day, Olivia tweeted, “I love LA.” Well of course you do, honey. You’ve snagged one of Hollywood’s hottest leading men!

And Olivia definitely is a fan of Chris and his work in Star Trek. Earlier this week, Olivia made a Trekkie reference, saying, “Captain’s Log 2646… been up since 4am for shoot.”

10+ pictures inside of Chris Pine and Olivia Munn’s dinner date…(cont.)

Well crap. I guess it's true.

Jeri, you've broken the cardinal rule here. *sobs*

what the hell is he hiding under that scarf? HICKIES?

excuse me. I gotta go...*sniff*

WAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I am very sorry to have broken the rule; but as you can see, the event justifies the breakage. Everybody was asking for a photo of them together before we would believe it.

You think there's any chance i can convince myself the pictures are all FAAAKES!!!! ?
Desperate times call for desperate measures, you know.

Ok Yeomen Randi, Here's the deal... Chris is gay, and he is using Olivia Munn for cover up. It's quite common among closeted gay men in high profile places. Fortunately, you are the one woman who will be able to turn him straight. So start prepping for when you meet him and do what all straight women have been dying to ever since the first hot gay man came out of the closet... Turn one of em... ;)

Here are some pictures I found a while ago. I am pretty sure it is Chris and not some stunt double. The second one shows more of his face and it looks like Chris.

There are some Chris Pine comments about the paparazzi quoted upthread a bit, and that was my impression of the pic posted above. Olivia Munn's face says "I am so not liking these guys being around."

Chris better get over this antagonism toward the press; it never works out well. Celebrities always lose at that game. He'd better make peace with the fact that it goes both ways: he uses the press and they use him.

It's a business arrangement, and the laws for privacy for public figures are different than for private individuals -- and the differences reflect that it's a business arrangement.

I am not happy with him for the attitude he's taking; if he wants people to think he's a kid, he should go on acting like this. Thousands of actors would love his problem.

Just doing my part for the CPA Thread!

Hey, if we were an organization, would we be the CPA? Chris Pine Appreciators?

Yeah, in GQ they quoted John Cho as saying that Chris would like be all up in the window flashing the middle finger and trying to mess up the shots that the paparazzi were trying to get during a lunch of theirs.

EDIT: I couldn't make it through this post without Paparazzi by Lady Gaga getting stuck in my head. Such a good song! :)

From MTV Blog News today:

So it's official. First Alec Baldwin, followed by Harrison Ford, then Ben Affleck for a hot minute, and now Chris Pine. The "Star Trek" star will take over the role of Jack Ryan in the first adaptation of Tom Clancy's book series since 2002's "The Sum of All Fears." Just before this confirmation dropped - courtesy of producer Mace Neufeld—MTV News spoke with Pine about the prospect of becoming Ryan on-screen. After blowing people away with his reworking of William Shatner's iconic take on James T. Kirk, how hard could it be to make Ryan his own? No easy feat, Pine said, but undoubtedly less daunting than his "Star Trek" challenge.

"I think it's because Mr. Shatner's portrayal of the character was so specific, [Jack Ryan] is a different beast," Pine explained. "If you were to poll people, I think eight out of 10 people could tell you what role Shatner made famous. I think a lot fewer people could make that specific association between those actors and Jack Ryan. As great a job as those actors did, it's just a different deal."

Is there one Ryan –- Baldwin in "The Hunt for Red October," Ford in "Patriot Games" and "Clear and Present Danger" -- that stands out for Pine as the finest take on this CIA superstar? "No hyperbole, I like 'em both so much," Pine said of the first two Ryan actors. "They're both huge heroes of mine. But I might prefer Baldwin doing the Canteen Boy sketch
on 'SNL' the most!"

Prior to Neufeld's confirmation, Pine wasn't privy to many details about the still-untitled Ryan project. He did confirm that filmmakers are waiting on a new draft and said his involvement came about out of nowhere, after a call he received one night saying producers were interested. And Pine was excited.

"I certainly love the character and I've always been a fan of stories about international intrigue," he said.

"The past few years have been such a whirlwind and now to maybe be offered Jack Ryan, it's such a huge step in my career and something that would not have happened if ['Sta
r Trek' director] J.J. Abrams hadn't taken a chance on me."

What I like most about this quote other than it says it is confirmed is that it quotes Chris on how happy he is. I think that is the first time I have read a comment by him on this. I feel so happy for him. He likes to work and it looks like he will be for a long time to come.

Pine is a much better fit as Jack Ryan than Affleck. Very cool!

I agree with you. But i'm not really fond of Affleck to begin with. I feel he is very overrated as an actor. The only role so far that i did like him in was in Shakespeare in Love, and thats because he played an actor who was totally impressed with himself!

Heh, i like that Chris mentioned the Canteen Boy sketch!

Ben did an excellent job in "Bounce," I thought. And I think I like him as a person; he seems pretty grounded. Thanks for the press clip, Pam!

Jeri, thats a movie i still haven't seen. It's on my 'chick flick' list (for movies i get from the library nights when the DH won't be home until late).

I just got it off the TV earlier this year; a pleasant surprise. There's a portion of it that is reminiscent of a Man Men episode, which came after the movie.
