he's missing the spiral thing on his chin.
that's just how the toy represents his cleft chin, which he has in this movie.

One is that the series adds a large cast of fun supporting characters and develops the universe around Buzz, and they've just ignored all of that.
Is this supposed to be in the Toy Story universe? In this movie the tech looks much more advanced than we have seen it Toy Story.
I'll have to think of this as just a movie about a big-chinned guy who goes to space, rather than anything familiar. Not "ignored," just developed their own take on the concept. Different variations on a concept aren't in competition with each other or trying to replace each other. They're just alternative ways of playing with ideas. I mean, come on, it's a franchise about toys. Children playing with toys don't limit themselves to a single rigid continuity. They play around and go wherever their imagination takes them.
Meh, no Tim Allen, me no watchy..
I still think The Incredibles 2 should have been set at least 10 years after the first movie. You solve the problem of the actors' voices and have more interesting story opportunities. They had similar issues with Craig T. Nelson being so much older than Mr. Incredible.
I think it's supposed to be a fictional movie that Andy could go see in the theater, and the toy line is based on the movie.
I like this trailer. It's a more serious take on the character so I'm OK with it because it feels very different to the cartoon and Toy Story. As a fan of the cartoon series, this just feels wrong.
But I suppose it could've been a show created to promote the toy, which was in turn based on this movie.
I could see an in-universe history where the cartoon is very loosely based on the movie, and they introduce all sorts of wild new stuff in the cartoon, then the cartoon gets super popular and that's why all the merchandise is the animated Buzz.
I feel like the avoiding of any actual speech from Chris Pratt as Buzz in that trailer other than a 'AND' at the end of it is because it is Chris Pratt doing the voice and not Tim Allen.
My bad. For some reason I kept thinking it was Chris Pratt and just had them mixed up in my head for awhile I guess.Wrong Marvel Chris. Check the thread title.
Honestly, I think Chris Evans is a much better fit for this version of the character than Tim Allen would have been.Meh, no Tim Allen, me no watchy..
This is not a new problem. Hollywood has been doing this for decades now.Like a 'what if...' People better start getting used to these different takes, it is about all Hollywood has got left.
