While China is not exactly in tip top economic condition and lots of factory workers are migrating back to Chinese countryside, the corporations in the United States certainly painted themselves into a corner by moving most of their factories and much of their middle/lower management overseas, taking mighty chuncks out of the economic loop. And Wal-Mart is not the only company involved in self-destructive outsourcing, despite being the biggest, since many other giant companies have done it before Wal-Mart and alongside it.

America and China are too inconnected from the 1970s to reverese the process now.
