i dont know how i've missed it untill now, but i just stumbled across a sequel/continuation from the 80s that i'm am actually excited to hear about!

Well Mel Gibson is producing Mad Max, so they already seem to have a lot in place.

And getting everyone to come back for Ghostbusters (except Rick Moranis) was the most difficult hurdle and now they've crossed that, and they even get two directors (Ivan Reitman or Harold Ramis) to choose from.
