Chick-fil-A digging themselves a hole

Hell is a real place, and I just gotta say, it's not a place I wanna go, it's no joke. I'm constantly amazed how many people aren't afraid of it. It's going to be a terrible, terrible place, and it is so easy to avoid. Again, another choice I suppose we must make in life. Put your faith in Jesus, ask him to forgive you for you sins, call out to him and ask him to save you from sin, enjoy the peace that overcomes you and the knowledge that you are on the path to Heaven, following a righteous God, a savior who wants the best for you, Jesus is that way, and the only way. I don't want anyone here to end up in the other place, I beg of you, do this now, this is your chance, your life on this Earth is your chance.
How about stop proselytising and actually answer the questions? Again - this is a discussion forum.

Just for the record: the Old Testament also says that women on their menstrual cycles should be cast out and adulterers should be stoned to death. Not to mention a whole lot of other very tribal, primitive and crude things that resulted in a lot of people being ostracized, hurt or even killed even if they hadn't necessarily done anything wrong.

.

Why is it so hard for you and others to understand that the Old Testament/Old Covenant is not considered for Christians or binding upon them in any way?

This is what happens why you use Peacemaker as your "spiritual advisor".

Yet the editors of the King James Version of the Bible felt it necessary to leave all of that in there and later generations still cling to a lot of that OT stuff as gospel. You know, KT...the Biblical condemnation of homosexuality is in the Old Testament. That means it's not binding upon you in any way.

Did I just blow your mind?

I'll give you a minute to come up with an "Ah, yes, but homosexuality isn't considered the same/part of all of that we're no longer bound to" excuse.

Good for them, thumbs up, glad to see them trying to stand up for what's right :techman:

What specifically are you thumbs upping? The "women should not be treated equally as men" part? The "women should stay in the kitchen and make their man a sandwich instead of pursuing a career" part? The "homosexual behavior should be criminalized" part?

All of it. He clearly hates women as well as gays.

If the Old Testament is so unimportant to Christians, then why do we bother studying it in Sunday School? Why do we read from it during services?

It is important. It is useful to study. What it is not is binding as law upon Christians.

No it does not. Ridicule and scorn is what people use when their own argument in intellectually bankrupt.

Nope. Believing that an old book was inspired by a man in the sky and this man is going to send you to hell if you stick your penis in certain places is laughably ridiculous and should be met only with derision. The opinion is simply not at all respectable.

God just spoke to me. he says Gay marriage is a good thing. Prove he didn't speak to me.

i just wrote it into the back of a bible. now it is biblical truth.

Paul condemns it in the New Testament as well.

In the New Testament it says that even if an angel from heaven comes and speaks something contradictory then it is to be disregarded.

So nothing anyone from heaven said to you today is relevant.

So nothing anyone from heaven said to you today is relevant.

Well, that's convenient.

No. God told me it was definitely true. and i take his word over yours.

hahaha admiral troll, should i salute you?

And the superstitious writings of illiterate primitives in the Middle East around 30 AD means what exactly to the laws and rights of the people in the United States in 2012?

You do not believe in the Bible, so there is no point in trying to discuss it with you.

You are simply trolling.

Admiral Troll

Are you signing off with "Admiral Troll"?

 he can't even sling shit at me without hitting himself now.

Paul is not to be worshipped as Christ.

One man. In the entirety of all the books of the New Testament from Matthew to Revelation.

And if I might be so bold, Jesus Christ himself never said a word on the subject during his ministry, and if he did it was edited out. Which tells me that, if he did, it was something tolerant and loving and positive so it couldn't be allowed in the social environment of the Holy Land during the first century. Nor, apparently, afterwards.

He is not worshipped.

But his writings in the New Testament are equal to everything else.

And it was the law at that time.

Admiral Troll

If you want to ever have a real "discussion" about homosexual rights you can't limit it to just one side of the argument. You can't have a real "discussion" when the only posts allowed or tolerated are endless advocacy of homosexual rights.

And if you really want a "discussion" you got to be willing to extend a level of respect and politeness to those who advocate political beliefs that you might find abhorrent.

Same goes for people with different opinions about the Bible, buddy.
