Chevy Chase and the 'Vacation' films.

The Vacation films are great. Christmas Vacation has become a Christmas Eve tradition in our house. Some day I WILL a set of Marty Moose eggnog mugs.

But what about the 5th Vacation??? Hotel Hell

Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo in Hotel Hell

Ha, can you say "doing it for the money?"
Mmm, there are a couple of amusing moments, "You're supposed to kick her car!"

The main thing I thought when I first saw that was how badly has Chase aged? I thought it was Chevy Chases' dad at first! Since 1997 he's aged like 50 years

Hotel Hell, never heard of it till now.
That was, I take it, a DDVD film?
The synopsis on IMDB reads like a promising start. An adult Rusty with a family but they need to get that to where it's an extended type of Vacation family with Grandpa/Grandma Griswold intow.

^ It's just a little 15 minute video/movie, basically an extended commercial for HomeAway.com
The entire thing is in the link

Love Christmas Vacation! Found European Vacation severely lacking. Even at age 11 I thought it was a lot worse the Christmas, even though it did have boobies in it.

The only one I didn't really like was European Vacation. The first one is the best, of course, but I thought even Vegas Vacation was pretty good.

I love the idea of a sequel with Anthony Michael Hall as Rusty taking his own family on vacation and being forced to drag Grampa Clark along.

I see that Dana Hill, who played Audrey in European Vacation, passed away in 1996.

As for Hotel Hell Vacation, I just watched it. Nice to see the Griswolds again. Napoleon Suite... Took me a minute or two to get it.

Aw that's a shame. I hate reading things like that, even though it was 15 years ago that's really sad.

European isn't amazing, but there are pretty funny parts in it. I like the whole German visit "hey dad, bedpans!" and them staying with that old couple who don't know who the hell they are, I always found hilarious.
"Who the hell were they?"
"Beats the shit out of me"

Oh, and the French waiter scene

Bought Vegas Vacation just because I'm a completest and had to see the last film.

It's actually not as bad as I remembered. Sure it's no where near as funny as the first three, but it's got a certain charm to it. It's fun seeing Chase and D'angelo reprising their roles. And like I said before, Ethan Embry is a great Rusty, with Audrey being pretty good too.
