We'll for sure do an update once Coda is out, to make sure we catch all the threads it brings together, but yeah in terms of placement where we put it won't be a shock!
Starting my journey through this Novel-verse. Can't wait to read the Destiny trilogy and the Department of Temporal Investigations series.
CrossCult has posted their own image of a TrekLit reading order, called the Star Trek-Romanlesereihenfolge for short. Link to Facebook post: https://www.facebook.com/startrekromane/photos/a.296796548230/10158617347003231/
I'm very much looking forward to seeing what the final version of that chart will look like. I'm planning on making a publication-order reading list of the Litverse material for myself based on what the final version of the chart turns out as.
In the works, but there won’t be many changes. We’re adding TOS: Agents of Influence because it picks up on Seekers and TOS: Living Memory because it fits with the rest of Christopher’s movie era TOS books but otherwise it’s just as is with Coda at the bottom. Happy reading!
I have thought about updating this thread many times, but I have fallen so far behind in my reading and other people are doing the job much more diligently than I on other sites. Kudos to @Thrawn and @ryan123450.
Because I'm kind of odd, I get kind of obsessive about processing things in release order during first-time viewings or read-throughs. As such, I've made an attempt to cobble together the Litverse as its presented in the 2020 Edition of the chart by release date to keep track of my own personal route through the Litverse as it was presented to the readers in real-time order. I've also included the books Thrawn mentioned they were adding to the next incarnation of the chart. Am I missing anything obvious? Would anyone else find this useful? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EmIP0NexNipsso5fcHDo1BnCwlU9vXTOzzGMIj5jAQ4/edit?usp=sharing
Your link requires access. Unless you intended people to request access you may want to mess with the sharing settings. I look forward to seeing your document though!
Oops! Thanks for the heads up, now fixed. I'll edit my original link too. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EmIP0NexNipsso5fcHDo1BnCwlU9vXTOzzGMIj5jAQ4/edit?usp=sharing
I should also mention that you should pop over to the "Litverse" tab at the bottom for the actual checklist I'm talking about (not the full list of all Pocket Books Trek publications).
Jeff, if you haven't seen it yet, my website is the continuation and expansion of the subject of this thread. Hope you enjoy it as well! www.startreklitverse.com
I'm super excited for the next/possibly-final version of the flowchart. Is it known what the eta might be? No rush of course, mere curiosity.
