Not to mention I don't see Chris Hemsworth doing TV guest appearances at this stage of his career.

I would think the human Enterprise crew would be long dead by then.
Robau may be off limits due to being Bad Robot's creation (?) and I'd rather not see any of the main TOS crew recast (again), but would like to see Urban and Quinto guest. I wouldn't mind any cameo's done with old footage and CG, like in the DS9 tribble episode.
Tuvok was born in 2264, the year before Kirk took command of the Enterprise. He won't be around in a show set a decade prior to Kirk's five year mission. However there's a couple of characters who could appear: Tuvok and Dax.
And Tuvok would be old enough. Question is, could Tim Russ get away with playing him now?
I like it when familiar characters make appearances, but I hate recasting. Barring time travel, that leaves the Enterprise characters and I'd love to see any of them make an appearance. Unfortunately, they'd all be dead at this point, except for T'Pol and possibly Phlox. I'd be happy to see either of them. I doubt if the show runners would bother with this, but I know a few people who would be very happy if they did an episode where Trip Tucker was brought out of stasis and healed with the more advanced medical technology of the era. Another nice touch would be to see historical tapes of the Enterprise crew-- perhaps a speech by President Archer, or something like that.
We could also see iconic characters that have never been portrayed in live action, such as Robert and Sarah April.
I think the launch of the Enterprise is more like 20 years before Kirk took command though.Actually if i remember correctly archer is still alive. He dies the day of the enterprise being launched.
So he could appear but literally at the end of his life.
Even the alternative time line made mention of him being alive long enough to overlap with the start of scottys career.
