Spoilers Character Updates

JD

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
I realized the other day that there are a few popular characters that I haven't come across in a while, and I got wondering what they were up to. The characters I was wondering about are Lwaxana Troi, Vash, and Alexander Rozhenko. I checked Memory Beta and there's nothing really past Destiny for any of them.
If anybody wants to use this thread to ask about other characters feel free.

I'm legitimately still amazed Lwaxana Troi didn't all but hijack a shuttle to be there for the birth of her granddaughter... For that matter, it also surprises me that we haven't heard anything about her attempts at spoiling Natasha rotten...

Alexander played a big part in that Klingon Trilogy from last year. I seem to recall Lwazana being namedropped somewhere.... But that might have been in a re-read.

As for Vash, I found her a boring character, so don't really need her back in anything.

She was in the Prometheus trilogy but I think it was only for a few chapters and not really important to the story. And I think Natasha was mentioned but I'm not sure.

I agree. It's very surprising to me that Lwaxana has yet to make an appearance in Star Trek: Titan.
Yeah, it was Natasha being around that got me thinking about Lwaxana. I'm assuming she has to have met at least once in the years since she was born.

Ofcourse she has!! But not even the most talented Star Trek Authors we have could put something like that on paper and NOT make us wanna skip that chapter. ;)

Asking the question on the absence of these characters is like asking what Chekov, Sulu, Uhura, McCoy, Chapel, Rand and other 23rd Century characters possibly still alive are doing. It's very complicated.

I wouldn't mind knowing what Alyssa Ogawa and her son Noah are up to since as of 2386 Noah is about 15 :).

Actually, I rather liked the Borg origin story inherent to Destiny (even if it contradicted the one I'd written as the short story, "The Gray People"), and I REALLY liked having the Borg finally dealt with once and for all. On the other hand, I REALLY DISLIKED the terrible costs in lives and treasure that had to be paid in order to permanently exorcise the Borg.

Yes, rather odd that, given my antipathy for Borg stories, that I would write (as one of only two ST fanfics I will publicly admit to having written, or willingly share with anybody) a Borg origin short story myself, as a classroom exercise. But no odder than the fact that despite my complete and utter loathing of "The Man Trap," and of salt vampires as a species, my other fanfic, written under the same circumstances, is a "salt vampire sequel" story ("Interview with Dr. Ambrose Crater, or 'The Salt Vampire Ate my Parents' "). Maybe it's a catharsis thing.

Well...
  • We know from the Prey trilogy that Alexander Rozhenko is serving as the Federation Ambassador to Qo'noS as of 2386.
  • We haven't seen much of Lwaxana Troi since A Time for War, A Time For Peace and Losing the Peace. We know she has been instrumental in the rebuilding of Betazed after the Dominion occupation, and that Mr. Homn was killed protecting her young son, Barin (who I always forget exists), during the invasion.
  • I believe Q brought Vash along to the wedding of Picard and Crusher in Q Are Cordially Invited, but I haven't read that one.

Thank

Good summary.
The chronologically latest appearance of Lwaxana Troi is in book 2 or 3 of Star Trek: Prometheus (September - December 2385). The trilogy also features Alexander, but before his action in Prey.
Vash also appears in the Hive comic set in 2380.

Admiral Chekov - Living in a retirement village on New Siberia
Admiral Sulu - Living in a retirement village with Ben Sulu on Orion
Uhura - President of the African Confederation
Dr. McCoy - Living in a retirement village on Risa
Dr. Chapel - looking for Ambassador Spock
Senator Rand - still mourning that Kirk never looked at her legs, in a retirement village on Alpha Centauri.
Simple, no complications.

Thank

Cool, I haven't read the Prometheus yet. I've got Hive queued in my Comixology app, but it's doesn't fall in the book continuity, I assume.
