The song is sort of about someone who feels hurt and lost and weak, at the end of his strengh and the singer tells him, hang on, dont give up, follow your way, things will get better, even when things are hard right now....and in the end.... well see for yourself, the video tells it without words.

This song fits Major Kira, I think...she doesn't quite reach this point of true surrender during the series, but I think that if she ever got close, it was the night when she went back to Tekeny's side and put aside the hate Dukat used to yank her around.

the accent I hear based on the language I created sounds like an odd mix of Celtic, Slavic, and Hindi), but I could imagine Akleen speaking these words as he turns Cardassia's space program from one of exploration and colonization into one of conquest.

Slavic, you say. So I should not have problems with learning and speaking properly

I enjoyed posted so far videos. In some cases it would not occur to me to "match" them to given characters, but some fit perfectly!

No idea...like I said, I think the accent is probably a mix of things we'd recognize on Earth. A couple people told me it sounded a bit Slavic once when I did a recording, though I hadn't deliberately intended it.

Ok, so this song doesn't remind me of a specific character, but a power, namely Dominion. The lyrics don't fit fully, but quite well and... imagine this song sang by a Jem'Hadar/Vorta choir.

And especially that line about "But my dreams aren't as empty/as my conscience seems to be..."

The song would work for Garak. Or maybe Dukat. But it really wouldn't work for Weyoun, he doesn't think he's a bad man (not even subconsciously like Dukat) and he's not troubled at all (not Weyoun 4, 5, 7 or 8, certainly), he just wants to fulfill the will of the Founders and he is satisfied with himself.

(A bit off-topic, whenever I hear that song now I think of the brilliant Youtube fanvideo about Chris Keller from Oz. )

I'm not aware of any videos like that on Youtube, but there are some misheard lyrics that have been very popular jokes in Serbia for decades... the most widely popular examples are "Message in a Bottle" by The Police misheard as "Mesečina, bato" ("Moonlight, dude") and (OK, this is a version of a Spanish-language song) "Oye como va" by Santana as "Ko je konobar?... Milinko! (...) Do jaja!" ("Who's the waiter? - Milinko!* (...) That rocks!" There are even Facebook pages founded by people who prefer to sing-along the misheard versions of "Message in a Bottle" and "Oye como va" to the real ones.

And look, Wikipedia has a page for popular misheard lyrics -Soramimi with examples of Japanese versions of English songs...

As for the guy who made the Moskau video, he has created a bunch of such videos - I think the funniest one is the "Indian Thriller" (aka "Girly Man") followed by "Benny Lava"- and they are so popular that his username (buffalax) has even become a word - people talk about "buffalaxed" songs.

There are also plenty of "misheard lyrics" from the same language - like English to English.
