Chakotay's religion

I know, I know..

It was just kind of funny because I have taken hundreds of photos of buskers, stalls, street preachers, cosplayers.. in Melbourne and no one has ever cared (I give all buskers money).

You know I would have liked Chakotay's religion if I felt it added anything to the character, rather then being inconsistent and making Chakotay seem like more of a Native American stereotype.

What bothers me about the Chak talking to dead relatives deal is if it was as easy as he makes it out to be wouldn't plenty of folk on Voyager want to do it? Wouldn't they be lining up to talk to their dead loved ones?

Because they are not doing this I think it's clear his crewmates see it as being a bunch of crapola in his own head.

LOL such a good point.

Chakotay is the equivalent of a 24th century pothead with saying "akoochimoya" every time he gets a buzz.

Of course, in "Friday's Child", McCoy say "ootchie wootchie kootchie coo" so he's probably using those sickbay supplies for something other than medicinal purposes.

Like I said, Chakotay would have been smokin' a doobie if the censors would have allowed it.
