It figures...I leave the state, and DCC decides to bring in Robert Beltran for a sci fi convention for the first show after I'm gone. Robert Beltran is the first of two media guests announced so far, the other bein' the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer. For more info - http://www.scifiexpo.com/dcc/Next-Convention/Next-Convention.html And if this thread goes down the "Robert Beltran Sucks / No He Doesn't" path other threads about the actor have travelled...
At least you're on the same continent though, eh Odo? My 'cease and desist' anti-obsessive behaviour order says I have to be a least a continent away from him at all times Thanks very much for the headsup
^ The convention dates can be found at the link, ya know. exodus, yeah, I moved just before the end of April, and came out here to Charlotte for awhile. Still tryin' to get my stuff together out here, ya know.
Yeah, odo. I read it AFTER I posted.. I need to remember to look before asking silly questions.. But that's great he's coming to TX soon.
I'm excited about this con as well. Beltran's autograph is one I need for my group Voyager photo. Has anyone ever been to one of these Dallas cons before? How are they? I have always seen these, but this may be the first one I will be able to attend. On an unrelated note, does Jennifer Lien do conventions anymore? I never see her listed for anything. She is another one I need for my group photo.
That's good to hear. The beard looked better on him than I expected when I first heard about it, but I think he definitely looks better without it (not that he'd ever care about my opinion on that matter, lol )
I have. They're usually pretty cool, and well put together & organized. Over the last few years, they've had a few problems, but nothin' major that would keep me from goin' to a show if I could make it. There's a pretty good sized crowd, a great group of dealers and lots of folks in costume, more Star Wars and Alien / Predator kinda stuff, but the occasional Star Trekkie is wanderin' 'round. Cool - have fun.
She is? Shame, nice girl Sorry, sorry, I couldn't resist. Just thought I'd get in there before somebody else did. I'm sure Robert would be the first to laugh I kinda like the beard now, after seeing that fan vid but ... yeah, I think I prefer him without on the whole.
I'm one for the beard as well, and the long hair. But I'd like to see him with the hair long enough to pull back in a ponytail and then dressed as El Diablo. Like the wealthy Spanish noblemen in old Zorro/California movies! What were they called? A Don? I'd love to see Beltran like that! All distinguished and powerful! Chuckling
