Do you think Chakotay and Seven were together long after returning to Earth? Some break up must have happened before she joined the Rangers.

According to one novel series, their relationship ended shortly after they returned to Earth. But on the bright side, this allowed the much more satisfying pairing of Janeway/Chakotay to occur.

That's one book I wouldn't want to read. Never liked the idea of Janeway and Chakotay as a couple.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it didn't happen during the run of the show, despite good chemistry between the actors. But once Voyager was home, the primary reason for Janeway staying unattached no longer existed.

This. In my days in the Harry Potter fandom, I was the founder of R.H.Y.T.H.M., an anti-Ron/Hermione online club. We knew it was going to happen, we nonetheless saw the two characters as a really, really bad match.

Now, I think I have actually managed to find a worse pairing.

Nah, his Tonto was a Comanche. His real life tribe appears to be Notanindian.

On Voyager, there were only a couple dozen options, and among them, Chakotay is the one Seven found hottest.

Back on Earth her options expanded into the billions.

Well, about 140 options, minus married people. Seven is known to swing both ways, so the whole crew was theoretically an option. Even Janeway was a possibility, since Seven was a civilian.

I was always uncomfortable with that particular relationship as it felt like a male middle-aged TV executives fantasy being played out. I'd like to think when Seven returned to Earth she made some new friends who told her....

4 years out of the collective, she's not going to connect with someone her own age.

She needs an old man.

I'm not a massive fan of Chakotay, but I wouldn't wish that on him...
