CERN, Torchwood & K9

so lets start with K9, we learn in Invasion of the Bane that he is plugging an artificial black hole in Switzerland.

now with CERN, in Switzerland (are possibly) creating a black hole for real, and thanks to Radio 4, Captain Jack & Torchwood are there to help out.

So in the Whoverse, they created a black hole, but thankfully K9 manages to plug it, and then decide to have another go?

The time line seems a bit off here, not to mention the fact that it happens after the events of Exit Wounds, so there is no way it can be the same black hole.

this Torchwood episode would certianly seem to be CERNs second attempt, if they reference the first one, it would explain why this attempt is delayed by a year (given the thing about the Whoverse being 12 months ahead of us)
