CERN and the LHC

I was happy to see that the LHC was revamped and ready to Rock! I know some things about its Goals and workings, but I would be interested in knowledge from those of you who have it regarding more on this exciting science and enquiry!

There are too many free roaming particles to really get past the speed of light --- enough times to invent anything real...

one may need to travel past the edge of the universe or where light has gone .. since the big bang so as to have less free particles to ... get in the way of ftl travel... you know..

if we had neutrino-powered passages into space then the LHC might be useful .. but .

I .. can show you my equations for folding space/time..? or not.

of course if I did that then i would need to explain the equations around people who consistently post about the time cube... (needlessly) and well that sorta is as annoying as math professors and or psychiatrist and or philosophy professors attempting to delete and look in the other direction when they are too pretentious to admit they are wrong... (in front of personal audience that they 'think' .. worship them.) snicker

I am liking your posts HIjol maybe check this out for protein unfolding based on genetic chemical values ..(http://www.trekbbs.com/showthread.php?t=254047 for clarity about thinking things.. or not.

so of course it is a trek site that "puts up" with the things they don't understand for later understanding ...

see some earlier threads of mine here for more of the think's thinkings. :)

I am glad you like the Posts, think. I was a bit concerned that I was being clear in a difficult set of subject areas. I like the way your mind thinks, and like the concepts we discuss. I will read the link information you provided, and am happy to know a little bit about "... how think thinks! :techman:

After a careful reading and fairly complete Grok of what you have written, I have come to Two Important Understandings

1). I think there is not a Corporal, Utterance-Based form of communication that can adequately express your core and ideas and musings.

2. I think you would agree that Truth just may be the Ultimate Total Mass Hallucination. That is Truth's genious, and the truth of Truth.

I read your Evolution Equation position with great interest. think, while I totally agree with your view and conclusion, given an (impossibly) closed system with
absolutely no outside influence, even to the sub-molecular/even Quantum level, I cannot get past the knowledge that Systems within our current Physical Environment Space-Time are always subject to many types of outside phenomena. From Natural Selection to cell/molecule degradation to sub-atomic catalysts.

LHC is a consolation prize. I wish SSC had been finished

Agreed, and I remember being so sad that Illinois got screwed out of having it. But Jim Wright of Texas was Speaker, and then Texas promptly lost it to bad management and cost overruns. America spent 2 billion before it was cancelled...
