The long-awaited return of Ace!!!

I loved the Ace/Thirteenth Doctor novel, A Childhood's End, that Sophie Aldred wrote a couple of years ago so I'm absolutely thrilled she has the opportunity to actually appear alongside Jodie!

And just as importantly, the long-awaited return of Tegan, too!

Brave heart, me!

Though ironically it can't have happened now. Bang go a load of Big Finish audios too.

I guessed Vinder (and presumably Bel) would be back. Still time to find out if it's baby Doctor or not.

Genuinely peeved at the latter. So much like Chibnall to do so, though.
Alternate universes. I'm fine with Big Finish existing separately from the series. Same for A Childhood's End. I've always viewed them that way anyways.

Contradicting Big Finish shouldn't be a reason to not be excited about this episode.

...and it's just plain silly to get mad at Chibnall for that.

Given that the very much dead Ashad is back I wonder if we're in for a full-scale undoing of things?

It goes by very quickly but if you slow the trailer right down at 23 seconds you'll see something worth waiting 34 years for.

Yeah, I've been trying to figure out what happens in that moment. Took me a lot of rewinds and pauses to catch the moment.

Well, that is certainly a thing. I'm glad to see Ace again, although I'm very glad that I already don't care for Big Finish or I'd be more pissed off at Chibnall then I already am. Tegan I really wish I didn't have to see again, but whatever. The special will be terrible like all of Chibnall's stuff, but I'll watch for Ace and to cheer as the 13th Doctor, and Chibnall's era, dies.

I still have to wait a few hours to see Legend of the Sea Devils, but knowing time zone differences I checked online to see if there is anything out about the Finale Special, and holy shit, I never dared to dream it would see the return of Ace and Tegan.

Squee. I repeat, Squee.

Is that Ace twatting a Dalek?
I love it when Ace does this! Especially with Omega device enhanced baseball bats!

I’m not sure if anyone can see this video as it is on my Facebook, but when I was a child of the 80’s I used to love watching Doctor Who. My sister hated it though but she loved the character of Ace and she would watch Doctor Who with me but only because she loved Ace (and wanted to be her!). She wouldn’t watch any episode that Ace wasn’t in.

On her birthday last year I made her this video..

So if anybody wants a prequel to Ace’s return….

Btw, the reference to Tesco is an in joke, I always used to play Doctor Who with my niece as we walked to the shops (I was the Doctor, she was either Bill, Amy or Clara)… so a trip to Tesco was actually a regular Doctor Who adventure (back in Smith/Capaldi/Tennant years).

Not been a fan of the current Doctor Who mafia but maybe I will give it all a rewatch and appreciate it hindsight?
