News CBSAA -> Paramount+

I really like the name Paramount+.

So now I have Apple TV+ for See, For All Mankind and Foundation.

Disney+ for The Right Stuff.

And soon Paramount+ for Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and the Section 31 show; and The Twillight Zone and The Man Who Fell To Earth.

I wish that AT&T would change HBO Max to HBO+ because that sounds so much better to me. Everybody should be "+", "+" is good. :cool:
^^^
The problem is: There WAS HBO+...it became HBOMAX

Disney+ has 6+ million subs, so some marketing genius belies that their streaming name needs a '+' to compete, so we get Paramount+

Disney+ has over 50 million subscribers.

As for this name its very generic but I agree with the sentiment that feel CBS in the name is too limiting. Paramount may get more traction. More so they need to do more than rely on just Star Trek for interest. Its a big IP but not that big.

Outside of the "Star Trek" Franchise, what shows on CBS All Access is drawing in viewers/paid subscribers?

If you removed the entire "Star Trek" library from CBS All Access, how many people would subscribe if "Star Trek" was with another online Subsription network like Disney+ or Netflix or ___?

CSI, Blue Bloods, MacGyver and the back catalogue from Showtime.

I always watch Colbert the next day on All Access, but I doubt anyone is subscribing for that.

How many are even subscribing because of Star Trek? They offered a free month for everyone to watch Picard, I watched it and DSC in that month, and cancelled immediately. And when all of Lower Decks is out, I'll get a free trial, watch it, and cancel immediately before I'm out any $. Maybe with the addition of Paramount (and Viacom or whatever) content there may be something to keep me there (although I doubt it, especially since the first 5 Trek series are on netflix already).

Those free trials are of the commercial version of the service. So they are still generating revenue from it.

Since NBC's streaming thing was called Peacock, they could've called CBS's Eye. :rofl:
Yeah, "The Eye" could've been something special. Their slogan could have been "All Eyes on The Eye" or "The Only Streaming Service That Watches You Back!"

CBS All Access was always a pretty misleading name. Some CBS shows weren't even available, and some had only limited episodes. I mean, 2 weeks worth of Colbert isn't exactly "all access". So Paramount Plus is slightly better, I suppose. But something about streaming P.P. just doesn't sound right to me. That's no way to get STD!
