I see it as closer than 40-60. But anyway, why assume that All Access, not Showtime, has the lesser number of subscribers?
Star Trek all year round will help though CBS will need to expand more from Trek for real long term success.
I'm looking forward to watching The Twilight Zone... Once I renew my subscription for the Picard show.
Then I will definitely check out the first few episodes. It will air overlapping with Discovery for the first few episodes.
coming Streaming service war
What does this have to do with what anyone was saying in the thread? You're being overly defensive about the show again and fishing for a response. Stop it.Discovery sucks. Lazy writing. SJW's. Beards. Canon violations. Square nacelles. Klingon heads. Gene's Vision. Orville.
Bound to fail.
Probably won't even drop next week.
Worst show ever made.
Holy shit---I thought it was sarcasm........was he serious?I think Doomcock briefly inhabited Vger23.

The Motion Picture sucks... Recycled "The Changeling" ... Klingon foreheads!... Bald heads... Canon additions... Vulcan has no moon... Gene must really think we're stupid if he expects us to believe that it always looked like this...Heh...
TNG sucks ... TOS Copycat writing ... All Homosapien's Club ... Bald Heads ... Canon Additions ... Oblong Nacelles ... Romulan Foreheads ... Gene Hates the Fans ... SG-1.
<chuckle>

Knock it off.Star Trek sucks.Low budget Forbidden Planet ripoff. Communist sympathizers. Clean shaven. No canon to speak of. Ship not a rocket or a pure saucer. Klingons just humans with beards and funny uniforms. Gene L. Coons' vision. Lost in Space.
Won't make it past 79 episodes.
Wouldn't even work as an animated show or film, let alone live action spin-offs.
Worst basis for a franchise ever.
Yes, it's something V'Ger frequently does in new threads praising Discovery or CBS:AA and has been asked to stop many times before. He anticipates what he thinks the "haters" will say and posts a hyperbolic version of it in advance. It's not helpful, especially in a thread that had already been running for two days and two pages without any posts resembling that. There are enough real complaints without looking for or trying to provoke ones that don't even exist yet.I thought it was a good parody of the Discovery detractors. In the grading thread of "Saints of Imperfections" some dude posted a review and called it the worst Star Trek episode ever, LOL. Maybe this wasn't the right thread for this, but it was a good parody of these fans.
To me, the word "roughly" translates to possibly a 40-60 split with DSC leading the way. I'm choosing to spin it positively for CBSAA. After all AA has the shows that have the most buzz among fans. Of course it's your prerogative if you want to spin the statement negatively toward CBSAA. But I saw no credible evidence in the article that suggests CBSAA has the lesser number.No. The Deadline article didn't say that the boss said it was 50-50 split. It said he said it was roughly a 50-50 split. The operative word is roughly, and that's a big enough loophole for it to be, oh, 40-60, for instance. That would round down to 3 million CBSAA subscribers from 3.2M.
The fact that the word "roughly" was used does in fact demonstrably suggest that the split isn't in fact 50-50. The Deadline article even drew attention to this fact by pointing out that only a combined number was reported.
