For those of you playing the home game, following the events of the lawsuit, Alec Peters has been ousted from L.A., had to give up his studio, had a huge part of his donor base stop supporting him, had more of his base leave following an unwarranted rant about Gabe Koerner and now his director leaves the project.
What does he have left? A self-storage unit with a half-built bridge and... um... Crysssstal?

Technically it is his second director to leave the project.

I think RMB knows a lot about what went on with axanar. I don't think it would be smart for LFIM to antagonize him.

Surprised to see RMB finally cut ties with the project. To be honest I’d expected him to do it after the lawsuit dropped and when he stuck by Alec during that I figured he was in for the long haul.
I wonder if recent events/rants forced his hand? As the one with an actual career in Hollywood he was always the one with the most to lose during all this.
Of course, even pre-lawsuit he struck me as the only one actually trying to make the film, so whatever miniscule chance of it happening remained must now finally be dead.

Alec.... abandoned by the vast majority of the creative team behind Prelude
Ran out of donor funds
Forced to settle the lawsuit he said he was going to take to the 9th Circuit and beyond
Forced to move cross country and leave behind his incomplete studio
Doesn’t have a script for the tiny films he’s allowed to make
Doesn’t have a filming location
Doesn’t have completed sets
Doesn’t have the money to film anything
Doesn’t have a prayer of advancing his career
Can’t draw more than maybe 30 people to an “open house”
Doesn’t have the money or the motivation to send any of the perks his donors are owed
Can’t sell them - or get a fan to sell them
Doesn’t have a job - and can’t publicly fundraise
Is running out of junk to sell (while still investing in more junk)
Can hardly log on to social media without committing an unforced error
Is down to less than a hundred folks who will even give him a vague pat on the back
Gets regular public lectures from actual attorneys
And now...
Doesn’t have a director for his scriptless, unfunded, location-less, and cast-free short “films.”

As if things couldn't get any worse for him with RMB leaving there is now a new version of Prelude to Axanar Redux that has been released that removes a badly acted Garth, adds in the proper Garth, and really just greatly improves the quality of the film overall.

But, but, but, how can his production be in trouble? He's got Italian tailors making velour pullovers that you can get at a thrift shop!
And so the spamming to his FB groups continues.
That version started making the rounds about 1 year ago. Alec/Axanar claimed a DMCA violation and Youtube took all the postings down. I guess someone put it back up, and Alec wither no longer cares or Youtube finally denied the DMCA.
This is actually a brand new cut of it. The other version didnt have garth saying anything and this one has him saying a few lines along with a bunch of other changes from the version from a year ago.
