From a post yesturday Alec has great news on the studio with an announceent to come today after he works some things out with Mike, We'll see.

Ole Shane tried to ask another question after he got refunded and guess what - got refunded again? Though if there is good news on the studio the IGG is probably not needed now anyway.

So after the 'owner' of the fan funded studio 'works things out' with the fellow who joined with a desire to have a native advertising studio for his own business uses, there will be 'good news, everybody!'.

Wonder how much of it has to do with transferring the equity value of studio plant to a company doing native ads, with said company providing compensation in the form of nothing more than 'some free use' of the formerly donor owned facility. As perhaps may have been intended all along.

Future home to Axanar Productions, somewhere in GA:

That isn't the original Galileo set piece, is it? The proportions don't look right, plus that photo looks relatively recent, and I remember how delapidated the prop had become over the decades before restoration. Whose is it?

Plus, for the restored Galileo set piece, am I remembering reading somewhere that Peters either had something to do with the restoration, or claimed to?

The actual Galileo is on exhibit in Texas. Its restoration was funded by a Trek fan and was performed at a ship refitter, with contributions from specialists for the interior and exterior doodads. The original had decayed to the point that the wood could not be salvaged, the 'restoration' is from just some of the metal frame. Alec had some involvement in helping raise funds, I think I read, but I don't believe he had a lot do do with the actual restoration.

As I recall reading, there were two versions for the set, one at a scale for exterior shooting, and a taller partial set for interior shots.

This looks like a fan remake, maybe a playhouse. Notice for example no nacelles. Don't know the details but doing a tineye search on the image probably could find the source page and details.

Having seen part one of Renegades: The Requiem, I keep wondering why Alec didn't do the same thing and scrub the Trek elements from the Axanar script? Considering Axanar only has one legacy Trek actor playing their original character (Gary Graham as Soval) versus Renegades' eight (Chekov, Uhura, Tuvok, Jadzia, Ichab, Nog, Jake and Chakotay analogues, all played by the originals), it seems utterly pointless.

He can still do it, and make his full 90-minute movie. Well, except that he'll never get the funding for it again and he's about to lose the studio he pissed all his original funding away on.

He can't. He has no money. It's all gone. And he won't be able to raise a dime on a generic sci-fi film.
