BINGO! ;)

Well, the photo has Vic Mignogna in the shot, so I assumed ST:Continues. Was he playing Kirk for NV/P2 at any time before he started ST:C?

Which photo are you referring too? Vic did direct the NV Episode "Kitumba" but not sure what else he did for them before starting STC. First time I saw Vic as Capt Kirk was in a Star Trek Farragut episode.

This one:

Which is on the main page of the current Industry Studios Indegogo campaign (just scroll down the page a bit.)

04:59 "And We're Not In The Middle Of Nowhere Like The Fan Productions Are; you know STNV and StarTrek Continues.

Oh, Axanar Productions is definitely in the Middle of Nowhere.
That strategy to simply buy into the middle of everywhere
had a few flaws.
 Ya think?

Remember the "Hooked on..." series? "Hooked on Classics"; "Hooked on Bethoven"; "Hooked on Hank Williams"? (Actually, I made the last one up.)
I do! And I reckon I'm not amongst like-minded individuals saying this :) , and please don't throw things at me, disco was fab-u-lous to me and thousands and thousands of us who LUVED to dance to it.

OW! Who threw that???

The IGG comments section starts with an intro by Alec that there are $1 haters who have plagued them and if you see one of their dishonest comments dont be disturbed because we are working with IGG to remove them.

To me as a casual donor browsing listings, I would be taken aback by this.

You have haters who actively try to say things to your donors that is so bad you have to censor it?

Can I think of a single other case of a project on IGG where I have seen "donor comments" plagued by haters? Or dealt with by censorship? [ no ]

Something's going on here, and its serious enough that the campaigner himself is raising it.

Are the comments that remain just shills?

And if you really are watching your comments that carefully, why are you leaving in place comments that are abusive when they are in support of your project? That just doesn't seem clean.

---

I really don't think Alec appreciates how demotivating his heavy handed censorship must be. But as they peter out around 20k, I guess he will see the results.

He's getting really nervous. And that's always a good sign. ;)

Ok, so he's gone back to the crowdfunding well, and he's getting 1% of what he got before.

He's prevented under serious legal penalties from using crowdfunding for any more Trek video incursions, which are the only ones where he could stand to make serious money.

He can't seem to rent the facility he owns by sketchily appropriating fan donations to make a film, and he says he has no money to keep it running. He's on the hook for the lease.

He was required to admit that he overstepped copyright.

Practically all his professional support has abandoned him.

His fellow fan film makers are pissed off. He's followed around by a group of fanatics who lash out incoherently no matter what consequences it has to him, or who tell him there is absolutely nothing wrong with his situation and he's a hero.

He's on the hook to produce a product and close out perks even though these efforts cannot possibly be bootstraped into fame and fortune anymore.

Wesley addresses him in the honorific.

Welcome to karma.

I 'think' the limit relates specifically and only to the ax'd-we-r fan film that was downsized from movie to 15 minute, no more than two, segments in which all further public crowdfunding platforms for it is forfeited in the settlement agreement. Although with no limits on continued private funding for it that I've heard about.

I 'think' any/all further ST films defendantGarth chooses to produce is the same as all ST fan film makers in that he can use public crowdfunding platforms as per limits stated in the guidelines. With no restrictions on private funding.

I am open to my being wrong mistaken about this.

I'm really confused about the shell game that's going on now between Axanar, the studio, the California site, the Georgia site. My head's spinning with all this nonsense. Can't he just make the phucking fan-film already, or has it (d)evolved into a money-moving venture? "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today" comes to mind. AP must have read the secret memoires of Bernie Madoff 'cause this all sounds like a complete Ponzi scheme now. If he's not careful, he's going to wind up in court again for a whole new set of charges.
Here's how convoluted things are between the California and Georgia LLCs and who the heck owns what:

AP is still using the "hater" label deflection and banning people who dare ask questions. It's a repeat of Axanar all over again.

AP insulting and banning a donor for asking why he's taking a salary for Axanar.

Really, a separate "fundraiser?" AP blew through 1.4+ million and he's going to conduct another fundraiser asking for more money? :wtf:
