I am wondering what the overall accounting comes to at this point.

money that should have been around for 2016 expenses:

400k (what Alec said the investor group kicked in to take over the studio asset; the studio buildout cost is subtracted below in the 641k for Axanar)
150k - what alec says he has put into the project this year
731k (1.5 million C/P say was raised from crowdfunding (and merchandising?)-(128k+641k costs in 2015, per the Axanar annual report))
------
1381k

burn rate to keep the place open:
180k/year rent
50k/year guesstimate utilities, phones
120k/year guestimate salaries and perks
-------
350k

Somebody help me make sense of where that million dollars went.

AP announced here on Jan 11th 2015 the signing of the lease for the studio. Almost two years now of rent, utilities, improvements, wages, conventions, and lots of sushi and personal perks. That has to add up to a lot of, dare I say it, cash.

But all of the above for 2015 was supposed to be included in his 2015 report, and I tried to allow for his claimed burn rate per his budget continuing through 2016. There's still the million dollar gap.

They stopped production. Per Alec, they sold Axanar Productions' interest in the studio, so Axanar Productions should not be investing in that asset anymore. Where is the million?

I don't know how many rules I'd break but if I knew folks were going to hand me $1.4 million dollars:.
There are places in this country where you can buy outright a building for under $200 grand
I'm sure you can purchase lighting, sound, film, computer equipment for around $100 grand
Bank $100 grand for travel, developing local talent, costumes, sets, utilities
Invest a Million in a revenue basket of generating equities earning an average of 8% or $80 grand per year.
Satisfy terms set forth to the donors, do a reverse split merger on the OTC market, issue donors, cast & crew real stock according to the size of their donation and then become a For Profit Film Studio.

Yes, but remember one of their requirements was to be within a two-hour drive of downtown Hollywood; otherwise they couldn't get the big-name actors to join the cast.

I could be next to Sun Valley and Boise University that teach film and Theatre Arts

I don't know. Do you think a complete tally of where the money went will be revealed during the possible impending jury trial?

They did re-think it. They planned to recoup that money by renting the studio out and/or creating for-profit films of their own.
Judging by interviews given by Christian Gosset, building a studio to rent out for profit was AP's plan back when they started on Prelude. But on that occasion CG talked him out if it and they used a professional sound stage instead

Answer: REDACTED!

Let's say you are the landlord leasing to a new company Axanar. They have no history and no income (crowdfunding would be akin to equity). I would GUESS that landlord would ask for a co-signer. If thats true the only candidate is Alec. I suspect he's paying the lease because he is on it.

Yes, that makes perfect sense as to why Alec is having to pay out of his own pocket. Pretty sure however, nothing he says can be trusted regarding anything.
