and after watching that video, I'm pretty sure this actually exists......

LOL!! To Funny :)

Well I saw Beyond. It has some nice character interplays and certainly delivers the big movie spectacle people want these days. I think its gonna be really hard for Axalites to keep a united front of contempt in place. And after they see it, they will get to come back and compare it to the small scale pewpew Brooklyn Bridge they've been sold for over a million dollars. They may see Axanar in a somewhat different light.

In consideration of your concern I edited out the few nonspecific critical words of my comment and left only the generic praise. Hope you enjoy the film.

Oh, for the love of all that's Holy, will someone please tell Richard Hatch to shut the *bleep* up? Seriously. He pretty much blackmailed them into giving him a part in BSG-reboot, so he's name is already mud as far as the studios are concerned. He might be relegated to working for hand-outs on fan-film projects, but he's not doing the fan community any favors in the long run.

That video is a perfect example of the term "Truthiness."

"Truthiness is a quality characterizing a "truth" that a person making an argument or assertion claims to know intuitively "from the gut" or because it "feels right" without regard to evidence, logic, intellectual examination, or facts."

On a side note at 3:04 of the video is a shot of a plaque, CPT. Alec Peters, "LOKEN." One of several sock puppet names AP uses trolling people while spinning b.s. on the net all the while saying it's not him. How many people have a framed plaque of their troll account name in their office? Derp.

Speaking directly to you, Alec, you've participated in a face palm of a propaganda piece further rabble rousing the misinformed. You carefully avoid offering any answers to the many questions you've very viciously dodged, even banning your own donors in the process.

So lets ask a few of those questions.
  • Why pay yourself and your then girlfriend salaries?
  • Why did you decide Axanar Works is your full time employment?
  • Why did you make companies out of donor money?
  • Why are you selling unauthorized unlicensed Star Trek merchandise?
  • Why sell that merchandise if you can't fulfill your campaign perks?
  • Why do you flip flop between calling Axanar a "fan film," then call it a full feature length independent professionally produced Star Trek movie?
  • How come you need "official rules" from CBS/P when all the other productions have no problem being respectful with IP they know they don't own?
  • Why are you complaining now that CBS/P has put out the very rules you said you needed to make Axanar?
  • Why do you claim the lawsuit isn't about money when it says in the lawsuit you are enjoying a direct financial benefit from IP you don't own?
  • You stated in March of 2014 everything was in place to begin shooting Axanar. Why did you spend all of 2014 and 2015 going to conventions on donor money instead of making your film?
  • Why do you use spin and distortion misleading the people who gave you their money? Are you afraid they will turn on you like your past business customers have done after they realized they were ripped off?
  • Why did you invite fan film producers for a "guideline" meeting, then release misleading statements claiming said producers were supporting you against CBS/P? Don't you think that was a slimy move?
  • Why did you try to convince David Galanter to commit fraud and deception contrary to his contractual obligations and personal morals so you could make more money off of IP you know you don't have a right to?
  • Why do you keep making ridiculous claims about the lawsuit and CBS/P when it's in black and white why you are being sued? Do you feel better when you lie to your donors and the public?
You don't answer legitimate questions, Alec. You spin and brand people with labels like loser and hater, resorting to making threats of bodily injury in some cases. You know you got caught red handed using donor money and IP you don't own to seed your businesses for personal profit. Your Duper's Delight may dazzle the people emotionally (and financially) invested in your con-artist shell game however that won't save you from the lawsuits.

To everything... Spin Spin Spin... There Is Alex Peters... Spin Spin Spin... It all he knows how to do nowadays... Ligitamate Questions are made to be avoided... Where did the money go... Read our report... I don't have to answer every question... I'll just tell you how awesome I am... And how great my movie will be someday... To everything... Spin Spin Spin...
( with apologies to the Byrds & the bible for the original words for the song )

"You remember that Battlestar Galactica show?"

"You mean the one on Syfy?"

"No, the other one from the 70s."

"You mean Star Trek?"

"No, that was in the 60s. This Battlestar show was on in the 70s."

"Can't say I do. Why?"

"Well, there was this guy on there who starred in it and also appeared in the new one on Syfy..."

"Adama?"

"Olmos? No."

"The one eyed Colonel?" *gestures towards penis*

"Also no."

"Who?"

"The Vice President guy. I forget his name."

"I think it was Tom Selleck."

"No. That's the guy with the mustache."

"Then who am I talking about?"

I don't know. He hasn't appeared in anything else."

And...scene.

To be fair, Richard Hatch was a regular cast member on "All My Children" and then went on to co-star with Karl Malden for one season (in 1976) on The Streets of San Francisco. ;)

Given the SDCC panel hijacking, I am really wondering if Creation will do something to crack down on Axalites trying to inject their agenda into the con. Might they say no questions about the pending Axanar legal action' during celebrity Q&A for example? I imagine they cannot outright ban questions about the guidelines but I also imagine that if a few people keep trying to bring it up to every speaker, the audience could get pretty irritated.
