Had I been worried myself, I'd have had my attorney reach out to L&L. I didn't. I contacted them myself. No - it's the way Civil lawsuits of this kind usually work. That particular tactic has been used for Centuries; it's nothing new.

Even though Alec Peters let slip earlier today on Facebook about the studio rental, another post by him in the same thread added that the (coming shortly) formal announcement about the studio would also include something about the future of the 'Axanar' production.
I've updated the AxaMonitor article about the studio with this new information.
Did someone say "Cash"?Yes it will become the new Mecca of Cash Markman's return to Porn production and be renamed AXXXanar Stud-ios for the duration.![]()

Star Trek author Dave Galanter (who also penned an episode of "Star Trek: New Voyages") shares his whole story with "Star Trek: Axanar" for the first time ...

I thought I was past being surprised by Alec's slimy backroom deals trying to manipulate people for a fast illegally ill-gotten dollar but I was wrong. Only a complete douche would try to persuade a person to compromise their morals and professional contractual obligations. Not that we need it, but further proof that Alec Peters is a scumbag and a fraud.
Only Lord Alec, the cockroach that he is, would think he could get away with trying to get a professional writer try to hide behind a pseudonym as a means violate a contract. I mean, fucking seriously Alec?
We all know Peters doesn't place any value on professional consideration, but for fuck's sake. What the hell kind of "professional" does he expect people believe he is?
Oh, that's right! He's a professional goddamn loudmouthed moron.
God bless Dave Galanter. Hopefully by going to Loeb & Loeb he has avoided being named a Doe and will at last be free of this wrangling idiocy.
This sounds like a discussion about politicians, and they are generally good at what they do. We don't like fat cats because we don't do the things they are willing to do to have more money, toys, and women (or men) than us. Sour grapes, sort of. We call it self-respect, and they find that hilarious.I thought I was past being surprised by Alec's slimy backroom deals trying to manipulate people for a fast illegally ill-gotten dollar but I was wrong. And that sounds rather condescending, or at least indifferent, toward the very notion of ethics. This sounds like a discussion about politicians, and they are generally good at what they do. I'm curious as to how Galanter was able to write for New Voyages and do early work on Axanar when in his own words, ""I signed a contract with CBS that says, 'You write Star Trek for us, and any thoughts you have on Star Trek belong to this contract and not you.'" I'm assuming maybe Simon & Schuster have a bit of a "look the other way so long as there's no profit" stance?Star Trek author Dave Galanter (who also penned an episode of "Star Trek: New Voyages") shares his whole story with "Star Trek: Axanar" for the first time ...

Almost everyone has a "look the otherway" policy. The problem is Alec started screaming "Look at Me!"I'm curious as to how Galanter was able to write for New Voyages and do early work on Axanar when in his own words, ""I signed a contract with CBS that says, 'You write Star Trek for us, and any thoughts you have on Star Trek belong to this contract and not you.'" Wrt/ the mailing list and shipments... they say each person can login and look in their donor store to see what they are due. If that is at all true, then extracting a list meeting whatever limits you want to apply should be possible at any moment.
I noted upstream something to the effect that "if we shipped twice the donor would have to pay shipping twice". So here's a clue, maybe. They didn't say, "if we shipped twice Axanar Productions would have to pay the shipping the first time as a courtesy for the delay". Artificial dilemma.
I seem to recall Mr. Galanter saying he had offered nothing but advice about the Axanar script that he might give to anyone who asked for help with no money changing hands and no actual writing for Axanar. If I'm wrong I certainly hope Mr. Galanter or anyone with enough get up and go will set me straight.Almost everyone has a "look the otherway" policy. I never said what your insinuating with your straw man argument, so "sounds like" and "sour grapes" are baseless suppositions. This sounds like a discussion about politicians, and they are generally good at what they do. Oh, dear. And they just put in new carpets too.![]()

One can check to see what they are due if they made sure the information was correct from the older drives. It sorts by e-mail address for one's account if I recall, and if your e-mail changed or you used different ones or something for the three different fundraisers, that would be a reason to update on Ares Digital. Just to be sure, if nothing else. And to get what you are due.

Most people probably put in very similar street addresses and could (through a programmed script) be paired up and sent an email to every email address asking "Help us manage fulfillment coordination across multiple donations, please confirm these emails pair up by responding once, here's a clickthrough button (in the email) that reports the fact back to the website (yes button, no button)". There, that took me about 2 seconds to devise and it would probably reduce their problem records by at least 80% if backed up with a little Facebook PR.
Overtime 5 seconds: Add a button set on the account page they land on, "Send me my patch now" and "I Can Wait", with a note saying deferrals could help the project but are strictly optional and can be changed anytime at this screen in your profile, and create a split order if they say go ahead. Take them to this if they clicked the 'yes' email button. If they clicked no in the email, take them to a page where they can indicate which donations belong to them and which look unfamiliar, and fill in a short survey about where they donated, and write a note to help sort out their records. Only allow this for street address pairs which were essentially the same to start with. Queue for fulfillment coordinator to resolve.
So challenging (cough) for their IT experts creating revolutions in crowdfunding and a company aiming to be a player in next generation content distribution![]()
