Surely the brilliant visionary thought leader of Trek can sit down and knock out a mailing list, now that another person that was letting him down has gotten out of the way. He could even purge the list of haters, if he needs an incentive. Everyone whose address has a unicode character in it would work.

Had an online friend really screw something up to their detriment and all they can do is blame other people for it on their Facebook posts, when it's clear that they own that one completely. Heck, I've screwed some things up in the last year... but I own that. Sure, it's easier to blame others, but it's flat out dishonest when someone doesn't own up to their mistakes. As you said, learn from it, figure out (honestly) where the mistake(s) were made so that they're not made again, and then work to improve.
Went to the mall yesterday and it was depressing to overhear so many conversations that were just... "me! me! me! they suck! Kardashian's ass! me! me!" Ugh.

It' not that particular post, he has posted that he has separated from Axanar at 6:41pm yesterday. Just like the posts about Alec new girlfriend, I have a policy that I don't publicly post any Facebook friends posts or messages (whether I get along with them or not) . So guys can believe me or not but I am not going to break that policy. Since this was a wall post it is not a private message, so I can at least tell you about it since its relevant to this topic, but not going to copy/paste or screenshot posts.

This is what happens when you destroy the immune system of an online discussion by suppressing intelligent dissent and intelligent self moderation and make everything dependent on a fearless leader. The agenda trolls find out, crash the party, and try to rescope the audience to their agendas by saying that whatever you don't like is being driven by their agenda conspiracy. Its all to hijack the energy of the audience. And there are endless numbers of agenda trolls.
As long as Axanar Productions thinks its better for their fans to be distracted, it will probably flourish. Not unlike the flood of trolls that noised-out Usenet. It can be contained, but Alec may find he wishes for the day when all he was censoring was reasonable questions, cause it will be an endless job, all attributable to him destroying the community's immune system with overcontrol.
