Anyone heard anything more about the Does?? I remember there was some speculation they would've/could've been named following the scheduling conference........

Looks like the new Doe day of reckoning is June 30th (most recent documents give that instead of June 8th - our error!).

As for anything else, I'm on vacation.

I hope you're having fun! Bring me back something tastefully obscene.

You're starting to sound like those Gamergaters who love to loudly profess their neutrality and claim they know virtually nothing about Gamergate because they think it gives their opinions some kind of additional authority as an outside observer. But then when you spend more than a minute arguing with them about the matter you realize they're more bitterly entrenched and fanatical about the subject than most.

You seem to have an awful lot invested in smugly pontificating about this for someone who claims to not give a damn. It would be preferable if you at least dropped the BS facade of neutrality and detachment, because I know you can't rid yourself of the pompousness and pedantry.
Yep.

It's one thing to be above it all, but the danger with high altitude is hypoxia makes you stupid.

Am finding this interesting. Mr. Bawden said he'd only met with the producer in person a couple of times during his PR volunteer tenure with the production (as of the trekzone interview) which makes sense to me. Really most-to-almost-all PR can use the internet for communicating and implimenting. And what did a fan film need a PR department for anyway.

But now saying that he is:
-Flying out to L.A.
-meetingS Thursday (tomorrow as of this posting)

Which I put together with:
-"We will be renting out the studio starting next month."
-"A formal announcement about the rental and the Axanar production, he said in the same thread, was to come shortly."
-"A small group of backers and fans have developed a plan to set up a separate company to take over the management the sound stage, pay the rent and reimburse Axanar Productions for the cost of the build-out."

Suggests to me this is coming down Thursday - or the first round of face to face talks for this to happen is Thursday.

Which circles my own thinking back round to why does a fan film and these meetings need a PR representative there.

Which again has me speculating that the PR guy is more deeply involved than just a PR guy in this not-selling/not-buying of the non-assets change of hands and responsibility for, and same not-selling/buying/exchange of the several hundred thousand dollars involved in this not-buying/selling transaction. That has a production/producer that does not act on his PR advise. Why is Bawden there.

As in the possibilities that he is one, two, or all of the following:
-the Broker in this deal w accompanying commission
-part of this investment group itself
-will be a paid producer and/or PR guy (or other) for new media and/or native media productions that I hypothesize will use this warehouse/studio/whatever/thing to film in.

To the tune of "You'll Be Back" from Hamilton... (If I have time [and I can find a non-lyric track], I might record this...)

You say the price of my perks’ not a price that you're willing to pay
You hate when I delay the film, independent or fan – I don’t know
Why so mad?
Remember we made an arrangement when I kicked you out
Now you're making me sad
Remember despite our estrangement, I'm Alec Peters

You'll be gone
Soon you'll see
All your money does belong to me
You'll be gone
Go to hell
All that coffee that I served you well

Producers rise, franchises fall
We built a greenscreen through it all
And when push comes to shove,
I will file a non-disclosure to remind you of my love

Axy-nar-ar-ar
Axy-nar-yar-nar-nar-nar
Axy-nar-nar-nay-ar-ar

Axy-nar-ar-ar
Axy-nar-yar-nar-nar-nar
Axy-nar-nar-nay-ar-ar

You say our bank account is drained and we can’t go on
You’ll be the one complaining when Prelude’s gone

And, no, don't close your wallet
'Cause it’s my favorite wallet
Your sweet, cash-filled wallet
Your loyal, brimming wallet
More money, more money, more money, more money

We'll be back
Like before
Garth will fight the fight and win the war
For my love
For my praise
And I'll love me till my dying days

Ask questions, I'll go mad
So don't throw away this thing we had
'Cause when push comes to shove
I will threaten your friends and family to remind you of my love

Axy-nar-ar-ar
Axy-nar-yar-nar-nar-nar
Axy-nar-nar-nay-ar-ar

Axy-nar-ar-ar
Axy-nar-yar-nar-nar-nar
Axy-nar-

Everybody!

Axy-nar-ar-ar
Axy-nar-yar-nar-nar-nar
Axy-nar-nar-nay-ar-ar

Axy-nar-ar-ar
Axy-nar-yar-nar-nar-nar
Axy-nar-nar-nay-ar-ar
