I didn't bother watching the Oscars. Did Axanar win?
Let them make the film and then enjoy the laughter as it gets panned by the critics at the Razzies

Is this part of the Motion To Dismiss or a separate document? I haven't been able to find it...The plaintiffs filed a stipulation wherein the parties had agreed to a continuance to change the response due date to March 11, the reply due date to March 28, and the hearing to April 11. The reason given is that the plaintiffs' lead counsel (that's Jonathan Zavin) is currently working a trial in another matter. There is every reason for the judge to grant this more than reasonable request.
Note: if either side does a lot of stalling, then things could change. But trial lawyers are often busy, and the parties have agreed without a fuss. The judge does not want this motion granted on that kind of an easily surmountable issue.
Sounds like the old Sinistar arcade game.I don't think they would've needed to. What they're telling is essentially a trap story. "Come destroy our new super ship before it becomes operational. Whoops! Its already operational and is going to kick your fleet's ass." I'm sure there's somewhere in the SFU that they could have fit such a story? Though I'm not real familiar with that corner of the Trek universe.
If it's real early maybe someone is trying to get Axanar to release the most current one to prove it's not as bad as what was leaked?
No, they said there's no movie, not that there wasn't a script.Look, no one really cares what's in the script. The fact there IS a script is what's relevant. If I understand correctly, the motion to dismiss says there is no script, when in fact, we have screen caps of a Facebook post (which I saw myself) of Alec holding up a sheaf of papers that he said was the final and "locked" version of the script. Do you see the problem that poses? Is there a script? If there is not a script, then Alec lied before God and everybody, including his donors. If there is a script, he (through his lawyers) lied to the court. Personally, I'd rather take my chances with God. Judges (especially Federal judges) are not as forgiving as He is.

At least you probably would have had something more current. What to you expect to get from what you've said is an early draft script?RMB actually offered (twice, at least) to send me the script current as of 30 days ago. I declined.

You'll have to read to find out.
I am sure that Burnett offering me the script would come with conditions, which I would not have accepted anyway, thus the script provision would not have happened.
People don't usually just give something over for free. They usually want something in return. The sad part is, I've been an old-school journalist for far too long. I don't believe in quid pro quo.

What did the leaker want tho? If to screw Axanar, how does it if it's an old draft?
I stand corrected. As far as the script itself, I think it would have been more accurate to say that for the purposes of discussing the lawsuit, no one really cares what's in the script. I certainly am curious as to how good the script is/was/might have been, but I don't know if I'm curious enough to make the effort to read it. Mileage will certainly vary on that. No, they said there's no movie, not that there wasn't a script.
