CBS/Paramount sues to stop Axanar

Look, no one really cares what's in the script. The fact there IS a script is what's relevant. If I understand correctly, the motion to dismiss says there is no script, when in fact, we have screen caps of a Facebook post (which I saw myself) of Alec holding up a sheaf of papers that he said was the final and "locked" version of the script. Do you see the problem that poses? Is there a script? If there is not a script, then Alec lied before God and everybody, including his donors. If there is a script, he (through his lawyers) lied to the court. Personally, I'd rather take my chances with God. Judges (especially Federal judges) are not as forgiving as He is.

There are SCRIPTS. I know various people who've read and given feedback on them going back several years. The question, I suppose, is there a final shooting script? That depends on what you call "final". A lot of movies get revisions right up to the start of shooting, and some during. So one could straight-faced claim "there's no final script" right up til the film wraps.

Yes, you all are correct on this. You know the funny part? Alec Peters is scared to death to confront me. lol! He will go and threaten people from G&T (and they have nothing to do with it, haha!) I mean, Nick knew I had it, because I told him, and I shared with him a line from the script.

What was that line?

KLINGON CAPTAIN
Federation coward, you can't hide from me.
JJTRAK HAS NEVER DONE THAT!

Before I get strung up for blocking the hate train -Is it ok to release a script early from an unfinished film? I donated to Axanar so on here Im a jonestown drinker apparently
I'm not speaking about legality -just decency so I could watch this movie (yes if it ever gets made) without it being spoiled?
First of all, no one here really goes after people for having donated.

Secondly, I went back and $poilered my predictions, but I've been predicting those things for ages. If you don't want the film's possible content spoiled, the imminent podcast discussing the scripts is something you won't want to listen to obviously. Question is, should we take such discussion about the script contents to a Spoiler labeled thread?

This reply cracked me up:

I hope you will pitch Axanar to CBS once it is completed. However if they do pick it up, you MUST retain creative control and keep the core writing team together. Don't let them dilute what you've done with the new set of producers, writers, etc. that would change everything.

After checking Ares Digital just now, it seems that I've donated a total of $70 to both Prelude and the Axanar film. I thought I'd actually donated alot less than that. I kind of got lost with all of the crowdfunding they did. I feel like a chump now >_>

Morally? Sure.

YouTube is up. Axa discussion starts at about 32:18 or so.

I go over the six sections of the Motion to Dismiss. More will be in blog today and Wednesday, but here I am in all my Fran Drescher with a law degree goodness:

Thank you, as always, for listening. Questions are welcome but you'll do better asking them in the comments on YT or our blog post than here as my Project Planning professor has decided to load us up again this week. The nerve!

If we're talking decency, it would've been decent if Peters had made the movie instead of lining his and his friends pockets and building a studio.

Maybe any leakers think the script is brilliant and want people to see how great the movie would be? Could RMB of leaked it?
