BREAKING Axanar surrogate Jonathan Lane reveals the defense will file a motion for summary judgment later today.

Incidentally in his declaration to the court, Lane identified himself, under penalty of perjury, as "a writer for Axanar Productions." despite his protestations of independence.

@carlosp, have you seen these quotes from fanfilmfactor?

Your blog is also on a domain registered to Mike Bawden. You can’t keep claiming impartiality but I really don’t know how you do it with a straight face.

You say that like you’ve found some sort of smoking gun, Sandy. It makes you sound kinda ridiculous. I’m just reporting the facts of the case and giving my opinion about those facts. Whether or not I’m impartial is irrelevant if I’ve stating facts as facts and opinions as opinions. And I never claimed to be impartial…or am I forgetting something that I said? I try to be fair when I can, but I’m a professed Axanar supporter. That doesn’t change the facts that I report on, though. Those are still facts no matter whose side I’m on.

And I thank Mike Bawden profusely for helping me set this blog site up! I was a WordPress virgin until Mike created the back-end for me. I can’t thank him enough–especially since he’s such a busy guy. (You do realize, Sandy, that Mike Bawden has MANY more clients than just Alec Peters, right? I mean, you can’t be that ignorant…can you? Maybe you can.)"

Mike Bawden (Axanar P.R.) is the registered domain owner of Lane's fanfilmfactor? I didn't know that.

on the fb axanar cbs page a comment in quotes appeared as reported above, below the posting of the intro document of the filing. They are posting interesting excerpts as they read the filing. So I would assume this is an excerpt based on the quotes.
Whoa. This one is making my mind spin trying to grasp the.... audacity. Would you keep following this and grab a screenshot if the legal doc saying that goes up on that FB page? (I don't have access to FB or I'd get it)

you can read this fb page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/CBSvsAxanar/

if it blocks you with an overlay to sign in, use chrome and add the extension 'behind the overlay', it removes the overlay so you can read, just click the extension icon when you get overlaid.

what you can't do is comment or download attachments. but I expect all the attachments to be on axamonitor tomorrow sometime since it only makes sense Carlos would post them.

I have to get to bed sometime before much longer so I can't really keep echoing things. Carlos says he is staying up for a while and adding to this page http://axamonitor.com/doku.php?id=summary_motions_filed . also you can follow his twitter.

Someone on fb just posted a clip of the quoted netflix thing. it shows emails, deposition quotes, and social media being cited. Looks like the studios did as expected and really turned the specifics into nichrome wire to make a toaster.

Refresh the fb page when you can and see what new shows up. open the 'additional comments' links under a posting to see earlier comments and catch up.

I'm attempting to understand this.

It was within the last few days but can't remember where seeing a quote from the production that fff was the only legitimate and unbiased source to read about this litigation.

Am I remembering this wrong?

Got it. Thanks bunches! See you tomorrow.

Aside from fff claiming it, I believe there were comments by Axanar Productions to their walled garden audience saying this.

Think it was posted by the main Axanar fb page at the beginning of the week.........funny that he is unbiased since he works for them in the office and in court paperwork identifies himself as a "writer" for Axanar............

The amazing thing is that even given all that was known, inferred or just suspected about what was going on, the court filings always manage to show how things were even worse.

I can't believe he seriously courted Netflix to distribute Axanar. That's just delusion and shows how far off the "fan film" wagon he'd fallen.

You've got an original web series? Sure, go for it. But a fan film? Bonkers.

Also I love how the court documents out Alec as preparing a set of doctored financials for the donors.

And it's confirmed that Propworx aren't paying any kind of rent to Axanar Productions. I'm no accountant but I imagine the way the two companies have been more or less interchangeable in terms of money and location that it's going to raise some eyebrows.

There's got to be no question now that Alec was funding a lifestyle first and a fan film second.

You remember correctly. Peters says this over and over again. Here's how he referred to it on Kickstarter a couple weeks ago.

And here's how he tweeted about it (plus my observation):
