The comments on the Youtube channel are what you'd expect. Everyone congratulating Alec and saying THIS IS STAR TREK.

Star Trek has had its share of conflicts and wars but to suggest its Star Trek truly misses the point. Again, this is about the technology. The amount of discussion about starship classes and firepower is overwhelming. Where’s the human condition? We see very little of that, instead making these characters superheroes. It, like many fan films, completely misses the point of what Trek is really about.

I saw Prelude on a big screen years ago, and wasn't very impressed. I can't imagine this would be any better and I don't want to feed the algorithm.

I liked it. I liked this story better than the Klingon War we saw in DISCO seasons 1 and 2 (the aftermath). This fits with the lore I grew up with and does not challenge expectations simply for the sake of challenging expectations.

Yes it's a war movie making these Starfleet officers out as heroes. That's what documentaries about wars made by the winning side does.

No, I did not follow any of the lawsuit.

Yes, I'm surprised and confused this is still a thing. I thought it had been killed. I thought, based on comments here, Alec Peters stole everyone's money and was hiding beyond extradition. Guess I better catch up on the lawsuit.
