Just saw this on reddit

I had been under the impression that the much-delayed, off-revamped next volume of Axanar has been released, but it turned out, it was just a video saying it's been finished.

I believe the project might be the 'USS Geronimo' Blueprints? Something they are claiming is their own design, and has NO Trek marks.

The Blueprints show a design from Star Trek (2009). Seen as the Enterprise turns to starboard at Earth Spacedock, readying to warp to Vulcan. It is the design with two nacelles above, and a torpedo pod between them, two secondary hulls below. Has been modified to have the nacelles look more TOS like, but it's CLEARLY that design!

Plus, the 'Command Star' from the TOS Delta badges are seen 'in the background' of the Blueprints!

Those Blueprints.

Here's a link showing the 'Command Star' image. The cover page, perhaps?

Love how the @F. King Daniel link also shows a side by side comparison with the original Star Trek 2009 design, and the Axanar version.

To be fair, the Axanar version is also much smaller than the ST09 version.

It's so funny to me that this fan film that ostensibly presented itself as "real" Star Trek in opposition to the Kelvin movies is straight up ripping off so much of their iconography. The ships, the warp effect, bridges and costumes etc.

What a hack job.
One of the Axanar shorts even copied shots from Into Darkness, but replacing it with their ships, fer chrissakes!

Oh man, I had a comparison of that too but it's on Imgur and thus I cannot access it anymore. They did their own Vengeance crash with the D7, the Enterprise-rising-from-Jupiter shot with the Ares and a nebula and so on and so on.

FANTASTIC advertising for Tobias Richter, showing he could do approximations of (then recent) blockbuster movie effects.
