Well, I think reminiscently smiling over how a battle unfolded the way Peters did there is creepy as fuck. George C. Scott could pull it off in an Oscar-winning role in an Oscar-winning film, but all of that's out of Peters' league.

Not to mention that in the film you're referring to: "Patton"; Patton himself was pretty much presented as a warmonger who loved combat.

Yep having Garth of Izar shown as a warmonger certainly fits with "Gene's Vision". :guffaw:

I think you guys are taking The Decommissioning way too seriously. It's one camera-loving YouTuber throwing something together in probably a single weekend using footage he shot in about an hour on the previous weekend. And keep in mind that he doesn't have hours of footage of witty banter among the crew to draw from for editing. Space battle footage was what he had. Did you want Garth in the video to flash back to memories of two Vulcans walking and talking?

Trash is trash.

Peters has burned too many bridges for anyone to remotely give him the benefit of the doubt. Seriously, he's burned through roughly two million dollars in fan money... for what we got above.

The amount of time spent on it, doesn't change the fact the Peters is creepy as fuck, and a horrible actor on top of it.

Exactly. Axanar started as something I was genuinely interested in and it started in to the strangest dumpster fire that doesn't ever quit. I can't really look away but there is nothing about how this project was handled that inspires any confidence.

Not only that, but they also used the Kelvinverse Stardate system. It's simpler than the Prime one, so I'm thinking it's probably just a case of them being to lazy to try to work out the Prime date. Still, for a group who keeps reassuring their fans this will be Prime Trek, not Kelvinverse, it's a little confusing to see something from the Kelvinverse featured so prominently.

And most of the fed ship designs are from ST09, they just gave them new nacelles and removed the bridge windows.

Late to the party but I just saw the 2020 teaser trailer from July. "Winner of 46 film festival awards [...] The final two instalments of the Axanar legacy".
