You lost me here. If you like "Axanar" you will hate this thread.
Contrary to repeated claims by a few people, the lawsuit and resulting restrictions against Axanar had nothing, zero, zip, nada, to do with the quality of the film itself, but rather all the shady financing behind the project.
To say that Axanar was "better than" XXXXX is also debatable. The visuals were stunning. That's a given. The acting was also above most fan-films, but everybody save one in front of the camera were paid, professional, experienced actors, so of course they performed well. The script and dialog was okay / passable by most standards. The story plot seemed to be a repeat of things we've all seen many times before, and nowhere near as well done. The more I dug into the story line, the stupider it was from a military point of view. Seriously, if you're going to do a war movie, please find someone who knows more about combat than "I watched the movie MIDWAY!"

In the past year, we've released some 10 15 min + or - fan films, moved and rebuilt our film studio, still have a few productions in the pipe and didn't go fund raising for a single dine.
Every time I see a "Lane" post, it's a studio shot to raise money.
So is he even making a film or what?

But...but...they had all the sets they needed - plus they were talking about having sets they ultimately wouldn't use...WTF?
Where are they going to put them? My understanding is that their current place is tiny and didn't fit the existing Axanar sets from their prior move.
