Maybe he's hoping to take Paramount's space if Ellison moves itI saw a post yesterday where he alluded to the "studio" moving to California...........

Well, it's up to 6.7 out of 28, so The Gathering Storm has now passed Picard, the three movies it was tied with, and Generations. It's also tied with The Search for Spock.
Well, it worked. When I posted the above three days ago it has 28 votes averaging 6.8 (and 6.4 from 24 a few days before that). Now it has 255 averaging 7.8. Given that the first 28 votes came in over a course of several weeks, I assume most of the additional 227 are driven by his request. He was soliciting IMDB ratings (10s, please) for the new video on the Axanar email list. With all the time that's passed, I'm not sure the email list is necessarily full of the kind of review-bombing (review-seeding?) superfans that he needs.
When the short previously ranked 6.4 it was near the bottom of the barrel compared to the films (tied with a few and only beating The Final Frontier and Section 31) and below every Kurtzman series other than Academy.
Apparently thanks to his request for review padding, it now ranks higher than any modern series except Lower Decks (tied at 7.8) and Strange New Worlds (8.2). It's also higher-ranked than any film except the 2009 Abrams film (7.9).
Though his claims that Axanar is better than anything Kurtzman is doing still doesn't hold water when (even with padding) it only ranks below the show currently airing new episodes and even the better-rated Prelude (8.2) only ties it.
Not that I fully trust or strongly value IMDb ratings, but considering Peters has been comparing them himself and asking for votes there, it's an interesting comparison.
