I see axanar are sending out emails announcing the soon to be coming iss ares patch, and in the e-mail there is one of my logo creations included...Cropped with my name taken of it.

You think they would ask me first. or at the least not crop it and leave my name on it.
They really seem to be incapable of being decent human beings over there in Axaland.
So if there is an ISS Ares patch does that mean the shorts are also going to involve the Mirror Universe?

I read that as shorts (as in short pants) and wondered if that was going to be the next bit of apparel we'd see in the Axa-store - MU shorts. Which are as short as George Michael's blue and whites in Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go but black as Robert Smith (of the Cure)'s eyeliner.

The ISS Ares patch is just another cash grab, and the Mirror Universe has been done lots in fan films. Plus, unless they do it as 'Enterprise' did, not appropriate for the era Axanar is set in, canon wise!

EDIT: It was bad enough that 'Discovery' S1 (if it's supposedly a prequel to TOS) predated "Mirror, Mirror"!

I'd say challenge them on the art usage. Which unfortunately would get you grief, and then put on the haters list!:sigh:

The ultimate male short shorts for me are Tom Selleck's in Magnum P.I. Now those are some short shorts.

Alec Peters even contacted me a few days ago prior to posting my image, and when i replied to him asking what was up, he failed to get back in contact, and then proceeded to not only use my pic as said but cropped of my name, after he took if off a site where my name was on it.

I dont give a flying fuck if this get me grief, I have alienated multiple people on here in the past with my upfront and opinionated views, but this is the sort of mentality by axanar that brought about all the grief they got.
Not cool. I can understand your frustrations.

As for credits and the like, over on a forum where I post about the FASA Starship Combat game, I have had occasion to use screencaps of a few of the FASA designs in threads. Even though the images are from the FASA online database created by the forum creator, I still credit FASA and the forum owner! At its simplest, it plain good manners!

A pity as prelude to Axanar was awesome and promised so much, but they killed it.
So safe to say you're not designing this type of thing anymore? Were you a one time supporter?

Ha !. I never contributed, and by the time the court case came, gone was any chance

As I said I enjoyed Prelude to Axanar and was looking forward to the movie, and when heard about the court case i was obviously on the side of Axanar, but eventually realized they brought most of it on themselves.

I still wish them well, if only for the people who coughed up as they deserve something for their contributions, but its no surprise the main trek fan base have turned sour on those running the show
Did you do all the designs on your site? I swear I've seen them on ballcaps and other things.

Wow, what the hell were they thinking. You'd think they could have just found a way to pin it up or something rather than shoving under a dirty set.

OMG, that is the first time in I don't know how long I've read an entire article on Fan Film Factor, and I was laughing the whole time. I was always taught that when you borrow something, you treat it like it was your own or better. You don't put a green screen on a floor, I've never used one, and even I know that. Lane is right, it's his responsibility since it's his production, but I wish he wouldn't turn to crowdfunding to fix his mistake.
