CBS Developing 'Brady Bunch' Reboot

Well if we're talking reunions most of them did have the real Jan. Fake Jan was only on The Brady Bunch Hour. Eve Plumb did The Brady Brides, A Very Brady Christmas and The Bradys.

The new Waltons will be centered around Pa having just returned from WW1 and suffering from shellshock. Things have changed while he's been away. The girls run a brothel while the boys are running moonshine. Ma Walton presides over it all while grandma and grandpa wish for the good old days. Pa struggles to get his family back to the wholesome people he remembers.

Oh, and there's something hidden on Walton's Mountain. Something that no one will talk about.

Thats one too many. I really liked Jan when I was a kid. One of my first crushes. :p;)

Count me in!

Yeah, the overly clean 70s sensibilities the Brady Bunch tried to present were just as artificial then as they are now, I'm sure the same can be said for ANY TV series that proposed to be iconic of the values of the day. Does anyone really think everyone in the 50s acted like Ward and June Cleaver?

When I look at other shows from the early-'70s, especially the Norman Lear series, The Brady Bunch is an anomoly. It was a safe show geared toward kids while other sitcoms were about social relevance (to one degree or another) and pushing boundaries; which was easy to do considering the boundaries of the two decades preceding it.

Though even The Brady Bunch challenged the traditional family by having two families merged together. Mike and Carol Brady even shared the same bed!   ... Shocking stuff.

The nature of the family aside, I don't think The Brady Bunch was aggressively representative of its time in terms of content. The most '70s thing about the show is the fashion.

Wow, every time I think the bottom of the barrel has been scraped they just dig a little deeper.

At this point I'm assuming a remake for My Mother the Car is probably in the works somewhere..

The Brady Bunch is a recognizable name, with more than one TV series and a couple of movies. Not exactly the bottom of the barrel.

If they're not even going to get Mike Lookinland, then why bother? Just use the premise they are planning on, and call it something else.
