CBS All Access question

SG-17

I haven't subbed to CBS All Access yet, I am wondering if the video quality and app experience is any better going through Amazon Prime Video for the sub rather than the bespoke CBS All Access app?

I use the All-Access app on my Roku, and I don't have any issues.

With the warning that this may not generalize to anyone else's experience...

I went to watch the episode on Amazon this morning, and Amazon refuses to play it in HD on my laptop, whereas all episodes of Disco played in HD. So, I ended up switching over to CBS, which was far crisper. That's highly unusual, so I'm hoping it was just a fluke.

Edit: Oh, nevermind. I just tried it again and it works now. In that case, I'll probably stick with Amazon, but both will give you comparable quality.

DEMAND may have been bogging down the servers a bit

It might have been server demand or they were still pushing the HD versions to the servers, and at the time you started the steam, only the SD versions were queueable from their backend.

During S1 of Discovery the app for Playstation and mobile was janky. It's much, much better now. It's almost like they did something after S1 (or maybe demand was less)

I watched Picard at 2am (central) right at launch from my ipad without problems. During lunch I watched it on our bigger TV via firestick and it was flawless.
