You and I certainly agree on that, but there are those who insist otherwise. After all, there are people on this forum who insist that Arne Darvin was surgically altered in the same manner as Voq/Lt. Ash Tyler simply because After Trek says so.At least we can agree that After Trek is not canon![]()
That's... really strange. You and I certainly agree on that, but there are those who insist otherwise. After all, there are people on this forum who insist that Arne Darvin was surgically altered in the same manner as Voq/Lt. Ash Tyler simply because After Trek says so.

What's even the argument for that? And more importantly, does that mean that Matt is also canon?!I know, right?
I don't care, in my Head Canon Darvin's alteration was simply cosmetic...
Or he's just an augment KlingonI don't care, in my Head Canon Darvin's alteration was simply cosmetic, and that is that. I mean, why would the Klingon's intelligence service even waste the effort of putting their agents through some sort of weird merging and splicing of their bodies with someone else's in a process that can't be reversed and is easily detectable anyway? Cosmetic alterations work well enough for the intelligence services of every other Alpha Quadrant power, or are Klingons that obsessed with cutting themselves and others up?
Well, I suppose they are.
Well he has all the charisma and personality of a 24th century human...does that mean that Matt is also canon?!
I actually really liked him, at least after a couple of episodesWell he has all the charisma and personality of a 24th century human...
*GASP* You mean the two shows aren't the same universe?I tend to agree where TOS is concerned. In the Discovery universe, they can do anything they want with the character.
But then you have people insisting he has to be a Forehead Klingon because he was referred to as being surgically altered in DS9. Never mind the fact that line was spoken in a scene before the DS9 characters learned Klingons without forehead ridges were once a thing.Or he's just an augment Klingon![]()

It was probably because of the subtitles. Translators would not be able to get the live/semi-live episode until Monday morning and I doubt that the episode was on top of the list of episodes to translate so it took couple of days.I was always able to watch it immediately in the UK. It really does seem strange that they varied it by region.
I heard that they were replacing Matt Mira as host with Captain Foley from TrekYards.![]()
