'Cathexis' Ep.112 discussion

Just watched 'Cathexis' and there is a definite homage to the scene in "John Carpenter's The Thing" (1982) where all the guys are getting paranoid that the Thing could be anyone of them that moment when Janeway says something very similar.
Surely this was done long before in SciFi with some sort of alien & human body host...
The episode was good but it was pretty much a cheat to have The Doctor perform procedures on Chakotay off camera and they worked to bring him back from being brain dead.

I really liked it, but it was pretty much a rehash of a fairly generic Sci-Fi concept. When I last watched it, I realised it was a Chakotay centered episode that didn't actually feature the actor who played him. You've got to feel for Mr. Beltran!

I liked it. The theme is an old one, but one that I really enjoy. Paranoia can be fun!
