Catching up with New Frontier

Yes, but that's for a future book but not part of the major story covered in After the Fall and Missing in Action (just to be clear).

Yeah, I knew it didn't tie up everything. I just meant that it tied up the major plot threads that were left over.

No, they were only ever a duology; go ahead and read 'em whenever you like. The confusion came because PAD had announced a new "three book contract", but only two were earmarked as NF.

Too bad they are in another state at the moment! But that I know I do not have to wait until next year for the hardcover to come out (and another, what, six months for the paperback?) I can say with some certainty that I will be totally caught up with New Frontier by the end of 2008. Huzzah. Thanks, all.

So was the third book Before Dishonor then? And if so would Cutting Ties have been part of the contract?

^ I believe so. IIRC, it was announced as an "as yet unnamed TNG novel" before we knew about the "Mirror Universe" books. "Cutting Ties" was probably contracted separately.
