I can go with Witwer, there's an edge to him that fits Bruce Wayne. Gyllenhaal might do quite well as Green Lantern (if they don't opt for a black actor as John Stewart instead). And I've long been crossing my fingers to see Gosling as the Flash.

Honestly, I think Aquaman has a better shot at making the JLA moving than Martian Manhunter!
And, heck, Aquaman almost got his own show on the CW a few years back . . . .
AND the new comic series is one of the best books in the DC relaunch.
And, of course, Witwer has already fought Superman--when he played Doomsday on SMALLVILLE!
It's ironic. Some people are saying Jon Hamm is too old but he's only a year older than Urban. I could live with Urban but I prefer Hamm.
^ You missed what I said; I'd like to see JGL play Bruce Wayne, as it'd be a nice 'alternative' to them doing what I'd like to see them do but know that they're not going to do: bring back Nolan's universe with JGL's John Blake as Batman.
JGL as Bruce Wayne Batman would cause a lot of confusion. I suppose that's not a good reason against the idea and I'm sure once the ten thousand "he's Bruce Wayne, this isn't a continuation of TDKR" everyone will be fine with it when they see the movie. Still, while I wouldn't have been opposed to the idea before TDKR, after it it's not really something I'm enthusiastic about.

Of the names listed there, I'd say the most interesting choice is Richard Armitage, based on his effectively brooding and conflicted Sir Guy of Gisbourne on the 2006 Robin Hood series.
^Yes, he has an old-fashioned movie star look to him, a bit like Errol Flynn (who I think would've made a great Batman in the 1940s). It'd be controversial if Clark and Bruce are both played by Brits though!
I think they'd be foolish to cast someone like Brolin, who will look very old compared to Cavill. Plus if they want to spin this incarnation into his own series of movies, they really need to go younger to give him any shelf-life. If its to be a one-off appearance for this Batman, I suppose Brolin would be interesting.

Armitage looks to be a good choice. Another choice would be Jim Caviezel and at 44 has the looks and age to play the role. I think I remember reading he was up for consideration in the Nolan movies.

Well, they are both millionaire playboys who set out to avenge their fallen fathers.
The TV actors are the least likely to be cast based on their television commitment, especially someone like Jim Caviezel or Jensen Ackles who have to be there for 8-9 months. Although if they're filming the next Superman movie in Vancouver and Supernatural is willing to lighten Ackles' load, he could conceivably do double duty.
It would be easier for the cable TV actors -- Timothy Olyphant? -- with their shorter schedules. Just depends on when they shoot their shows.
Clooney did B&R while still a regular in ER but that was an ensemble, as oppose to the 2-headers of Supernatural or Person of Interest. Plus the producers were good enough to give him a reduced role for some months.
If Joe M from True Blood were to land the role, I imagine that between the size of the cast, the importance of his role and the short season, he could work both sets but its unlikely that the like of Cavaziel could conceivably do both.
I doubt Caviezel would be given the role even if scheduling were accounted for. He basically already plays a version of Batman in Person of Interest and would just be taking that character to the big screen.
