Ya.... but at least it is the one casket made that doubles as a exhibitalbe item until you need to use it. Just imagine it sitting in you're livingroom, and the converstations it will start...

^^OMG. I can see it now... "Oh yes, and did I mention I was going to be buried in it one day?" The collectible to end all!

Somewhere on the other side of the galaxy, millions of years from now, perplexed and annoyed aliens keep having to fish these torpedo caskets out of their solar collectors...

...and, not knowing the location of the recycling center at which these might be redeemed for the container deposit, they proceed to hatch a plan which will forever alter the socio-political and economic structure of the Quadrant.

Why not make a portable prefab room that can be erected around your gravesite and looks like a torpedo launching room on the inside and have a bagpipe player and all, and they lower your casket into the tube loader and from there it it gets lowered into the ground. There would be a video screen that would show your "tube" being launched into space/sun/planet/black hole/ etc....

Call it the "theatrical" funeral service for the ultimate trek fan.

The eulogy would take place in the torpedo room by an elvis...um kirk impersonator. Could be a good job for the New Voyages crew to while not making fan films.
