Thanks for this update, @carlosp. Today's article answered a question I'd long had regarding what similarities Abdin is alleged to have manufactured.
Now, of more interest to me is the Halo uniforms and how similar they are to Mass Effect:
If people ever remember Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, then minds will be blown. Of course, the Mass Effect people outright state its influence here and there.
But yeah.
Final Fantasy people would have a case.
Apparently, Abdin may be putting his foot in line with the proverbial gun at this point.
Using YT to defend one's case I believe, will probably backfire in ones face in court.
Especially if one is... let's say, 'miss-remembering' the facts as known previously and can be proved otherwise.
His most recent appearance, IMO, would not have been something I would have done while waiting for a Judge to decide my future.

Abdin apparently went to the Alec Peters School of Being Involved in a Lawsuit.
So, I have to ask because I don't care enough to look. Were there any stills of this? I mean, if not, this could literally destroy Abdin's case.
CBS used it as evidence against him already in their motion to dismiss.

I understand that. I read the motion this morning.
My point is: While the video was referenced in the MTD, I was curious to know if any stills existed and were released prior to the video being initially released a few months prior to Disco premiering.
Abdin has not on his own, released any still pictures since putting his "project" into the STEAM contest that I can find.
(though other folks have taken copies of his drawings and put them out on the net)
Since initiating the lawsuit, there have been YT videos of his that show comparisons, but they have on occasion, taken what drawings he had, and kinda-sorta fudged what he initially described in the 'game' as his assets.
I think, this is pretty much the gist of what the CBS lawyer is saying, Abdin has moved the goalpost with each of his claims since the start.
Some of his characters in the 'game', had aspects of parts of the Discovery's crew, but initially none of them perfectly fit the bill.
He has since tried to mash his characters traits together, to make them more similar to what Discovery has shown us.

In all of this, I do feel a little bad for Abdin, as his first post about Discovery reads as though his fans pushed the plagiarism narrative until he posted about it, and he then subsequently came to fervently believe it. I wonder if this case would have developed in the absence of a small but disproportionately vocal social media element?
In other news, I see that the character Abdin likens to Stamets not only has muttonchops but F-A-T-E tattooed on his knuckles. Possible season 3 inspiration for the makeup team?

Abdin is a shmuck, being used by alt-Trek fans to attack the show they hate. When he loses, they will abandon him forever.
