Case dismissed! Discovery and Tardigrade game "not similar"

I just checked old covers from pre-war Amazing Stories to see how many tardigrade like BEM things I could find on their covers. It's not difficult. Didn't even bother with the other pulps, just went for the grand-daddy of em all. I just realized this guy is basically laying claim to the use of Bug Eyed Monster in sci fi.
That is all this ever was. Just an attempt at a shake down of CBS. "pay us and make this go away". Of course in the meantime, all the DSC haters like doomidiot have not latched onto this lawsuit and convinced this guy he can and should win and he needs to take it to CBS "for the fans".
I kinda hope that CBS pushes this ahead and wins this thing outright at this point. It is clear his lawyers are ill prepared for actually having to litigate this case and I'm sure CBS knows that. So If I'm CBS I maybe offer a small amount and if he rejects that go in guns blazing.

No but I'm sure Alec has offered them his expertise as a lawyer-in-training and as somebody familiar with the law firm CBS is using. He can tell them how best to roll over and give into CBS's demands
Well he absolutely isn't going to get all copies of DSC destroyed nor is he getting all the profits from DSC. So his causes of action in the compllaint are never going to occur.
So if he doesn't want to get settlement money and move on what does he want?

Seems like an odd way to get it. I think marketing would be cheaper then spending a ton of money on a lawsuit you are going to lose.
To us, perhaps. To him it probably has a certain level of a fight that he can point to as being proof his game was going to be successful if not for evil CBS. Also, probably a certainly level of vindication for a perceived slight by CBS.
