He-man was a cartoon before the movie came out. And I still have no IDEA how they made 3 R rated movies into cartoons! who's idea WAS this?:wtf: I mean they took all the GOOD stuff out of them! (Ultra-Violence, curseing like sailers, nudity) Oh! and you Left out ''CONAN the barbarian adventures'' Cartoon (was that 90's or 80's? I forget)

The 70's was huge on this as well :

Emergency +4 (Emergency!)
The Brady Kids
The New Adventures Of Gilligan (In the 80's Gilligan's Planet)
Lassie's Rescue Rangers
My Favorite Martians
The Partridge Family 2200 A.D.
Planet Of The Apes
Flash Gordon (Lifted verbatim from the comic strips)
The Amazing Chan And The Chan Clan (Charlie Chan)
Muhammad Ali
Like 900 Archie shows
About the same amount of Pink Panther shows
Josie (originally comics)
Plus, the ABC Saturday Superstar Movie had all kinds of unsold pilots for properties like Bewitched, That Girl, Lost In Space(almost in name only, with JH reprising Smith), and the mack-daddy of all licensed properties :

Popeye Meets The Man Who Hated Laughter. LOADED DOWN with every last King Features comic strip character in existence in the early 70's. In short, the casts of Blondie, Hi+Lois, Beetle Bailey, Snuffy Smith, Little Iodine, and more, are kidnapped on a cruise captained by Popeye. The villain, a kind of proto-Doofensmhitrz, wants to prove his evil by taking away all the Sunday funnies. The POTUS then recruits Flash Gordon, The Phantom, Mandrake and Lothar among others to go and rescue them. That grouping sound at all familiar?

A close second is Porky And Daffy Meet The Groovie Ghoulies, with a Willy-Wonka-level acid trip chase scene at the end : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIP36Rc_CIo

Finally, there's the oft-forgotten classic, Mary's Major Mysteries, with the WJM gang as college students being led by Journalism Prof Lou Grant in search of 'The Big Story', and breaking smaller stories (mysteries) along the way. VA veteran Ted Knight was said to have a lot of fun--he was the only one reprising his role. MTM herself has warmed to it over the years, even casting her VA equivalent in a few things. A financial interruption in MTM productions caused it to be shown only until December of its premiere year, and not syndied out since.
Sorry. Just Kidding;)

^ :guffaw:
^ok you had me with that MTM cartoon, but hey I remember that silly Happy Days show were they had a time machine(or space ship?) so its not like it would be too far out there.

The real trick of a trick like that is too make it sound like something they would have done. With those 70's cartoons, its just not that hard. As to Happy Days? The final cartoon had Laverne&Shirley in the army with Fonz and Mister Cool (Why no Spunky?) with--wait for it--them commanded by a pig Sarge (Yes, an anthropomorphic toon PIG) Voiced by Ron 'Arnold Horshack' Pallilo! This is not one of my routines. I made the MTM thing, and I write an AU wherein a Godzilla enemy attacks the ST Universe. But Happy Days/L&S commanded a Horshack-voiced pig? No, I'm not that creative.

yeah I remember the L&S show with the pig too. Even at that young age I remember thinking a talking pig in the army was weird.

I kinda wish someone would make a live action Turbo Teen just b/c I want to see how they could pull off a human turning into a car in CGI.

Did you see the rather nasty turn they gave TT on Robot Chicken?

Here's one I remembered, one of the strangest cartoon spin-offs, Gary Coleman as an angel.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZQSPfTq42M

EDIT: Well, I guess whether "Gary Coleman" is a property is debatable but Mr. T is listed so...

I think there was a live action movie as well. Although I'm not sure which one came first.

The live action movie came first.

I never knew about the movie, I guess it was legitmately based on another property.:)
