Caretaker Prologue — Lip-Sync Fan Film from 1995

While looking at the preview for The Holy Core, made by the guy who made Chance Encounter, I noticed he'd also posted a fan-film he'd shot over 20 years ago and finally finished, wherein he lip-synced to a scene from Voyager's "Caretaker", playing all the parts.

The film is here. Below that is a making-of where he talks about the original shoot and how he finally finished it.

I watched these a while ago (found the same way) and as usual I found the making of more interesting than the actual film. ;)

When it comes to fanfilms, I guess I just enjoy the passion and effort more than the finished product. For the most part, that is. There are always exceptions.

I find everything about both videos tremendously charming.
I admire that 14 year old. That must've been fun to make.

I digitized about 1000 feet of Super8 film I helped make back in 1978. Maybe I’ll share a bit of it here. :)
