Captain's Quest ~ fun challenge?

Fellow Captains,

We all now have our ships, some have named them, but then again some have named their penises ~ but do we have our crews? No!
So I'm suggesting, for a 24 hour challenge, we create our bridge crews.

I would create a thread in Misc late afternoon where Captains can leave details of their ships and reasons why their chosen personnel should join them.

Captains should recruit 9 bridge staff of ranks lower than Captain and request a mentor of above Captain level.

Personnel may be recruited by posting a request for a member of BBS in a thread that they are participating to go to the 'recruitment thread' where they are invited to join your crew. I will outline instructions in the first post of the thread for recruits to follow. No PM'ing ~ that's too easy. Any officer who stumbles across the thread may request to join a ship of his/her choice.

What do my esteemed fellow captains think?
Any more ideas or rules?

This is the last day I will have unlimited access to the laptop ~ son home tomorrow, so I wanted to have some fun

But once you've mastered the docking procedure, it's all a matter of going to full impulse, adjusting the rudder angle, until escape velocity is achieved. Or something.

Well thanks Omnius for being up to playing but unfortunately no-one else was brave enough for the challenge. So by being the first to commision a ship I declare the U.S.S. GoneNutty, captained by Omnius, the winner.

I still think this would have been fun *goes into grump mode*
