Captain Kirk would have been proud

Wow! I didn't know she's been involved with NASA all these years. Forget Kirk - I'm hella proud of her. :techman:

Nice to see her looking healthy after the stroke. She's living Roddenberry's dream and is a very inspirational woman.

This is just great.

It was a good from NASA to recruit Nichols in the 70s and I'm happy that this is still going on for all this time. All the best to Mrs. Nichols.

Forget proud, I am just jealous!!!

But honestly, I had no idea she was that involved in NASA, good on her!

Per article, Ms. Nichols helped recruit Sally Ride. I think that's called symbiosis. :)

I saw she wore headphones in the photo. Do you suppose she was allowed to mention the universal translator? ;)

^ I was watching morning news yesterday, and the weather guy was commenting on how clearly you could see the constellation Orion. The caption read "O'Ryan's belt", like it was some kind of Irish clothing accessory. Oh well.

Faith and begorrah--we've warped back to St. Patrick's Day. ;)

Reminds me of the time I actually saw Osiris spelt out O'Cyrus.
