I am new to forum and I was wondering if anyone has insight as to if this is a collectible coin or not?

It is too bad the transporter one is not available. I am looking for some knowledge into these as I see them out there in other places. Is it a good?

I wonder if the coin is 99.9% silver or a alloy. Oz of silver is about $16.30 today.

The coin is from Tuvalu which uses the Australian dollar, so not sure what it's worth to a collector willing to speculate on the price going up.

The second once you is graded by a third party hence the steeper asking price. If your is solely one of collectability then sure, lots of things are collectible as people enjoy having them. If you're asking from an investment standpoint, my thought is you would not see a great if any return on the investment.

There's something odd about Kirk's image on the coin, I mean it doesn't look like a stamped image. At first I thought it was stamped image that had been painted, that's fairly common. But examining the enlargement it looks like a photograph attached to the coin in some fashion. What's up with that?

I think the image is screen printed on the face of the coin.

I guess I may be different when buying for my collection. Given I have the funds, I buy something because I like it and want in my collection regardless of what the market demand is.

On the question of Kirk or the Enterprise, you're the one that be admiring it the most if you buy, what do you like? I like the Enterprise between the two for me.

Enjoy it if you pull the trigger
